I feel for you Star! Our new a/c & the idiot company (Chas Roberts) that installed it, gave us HUGE problems for 5 years.
Long story short, one of the guy's that put on our new roof last summer fixed it! He does A/C work on the side.

Well, we've been impressed with the unit, except for this neverbeforeheardof glitch. It worked quite nicely this summer, and if was losing freon, we just didn't notice because it wasn't horribly hot -- we HAD no real summer this year what with all the clouds and rain.....

It's the guy who installed that I have a slight issue with. Apparently he'll be sending someone else out to replace on the 26th. No WAY would I let them come out next week, what with family all coming in on Friday, etc. Too much to do....
