Re: Constructive anti-eBay Talk: Where are you shopping?
Just wanted to pull this thread up again, since we're getting closer to the time when many people buy for the holidays.

Looking for some candles / tarts for my mom's birthday and found a few homemade type sites that seem pretty nice. They would probably work well for gifts.

Angel Scented Candles:
http://www.angelscentedcandles.com/index.htm
I can't believe how much some of the bakery type candles look edible. Yes, I'm easily amused and impressed.

Country Passion Candles

Gelluminiations

More Gift type sites:

Chili Pepper Emporium
http://www.chilipepperemporium.com/
Lots of hot stuff, chiles, salsas, peppers

Route 66 Beef Jerky
http://www.route66beefjerky.com/index.html
Good stuff, if you eat meat. No preservatives (except the obvious salt or sugar).

As an aside, does anyone here work with wood? i.e. make furniture or small tables? Or do you have a favorite woodworker that does?

I don't currently. I used to do decorative painting on unfinished furniture and sell it in galleries. I had a couple of good sources for the furniture. I'll see if I can find them---can't promise though. Smile

My favorite woodworker is Xpp.  He makes wine racks.  How about a nice rack?  ;D

Sorry.  I'm sleep deprived.

I'm looking for low console / altar / shrine / bench / lowboy type of table(s) and I'd prefer it if they were REAL wood, instead of particle board.

Thanks Belli. Let me know if they sell any of the lower bench type shapes.

Hey, XPP--do you make anything besides wine racks? Or, do you have a nice rack of your own?  :o

Ok, now that would explain the socks.

Xpp doesn't have a rack.  He has socks.
