eBay to spend aggressively in Thailand to help Thai sellers sell on global sites
the eBay Thailand website: www.ebay.co.th is a mini site with a few information pages in Thai but most links on the site lead to eBay.com - similar to the Taiwan mini site eBay recently setup to help Taiwan sellers sell on eBay.com Smile

The company yesterday announced to invest more in Thailand this year to encourage its online trade activities and website accesses in the country, said Sam McDonagh, the director of eBay Southeast Asia.

''Now, we see boundless potential for our business here after already having evidence in the existing local e-Bay market,'' he said.

The company will charge a listing fee from 20 cents (7.40 baht) to $5 (185 baht) for a product to be sold depending on its value, and a commission fee of around 5.25%...

Should be interesting, seeing as the minimum wage in Thailand is 200 baht per day!
