The free sites I use are comparison engines (Froogle, Edgeio, ShopWiki) and classifieds (MySpace Classifieds, TagWorld Classifieds).

My pay per click ad budget this holiday season is split 2/1 between comparison engines (Shopzilla, Yahoo Shopping, Become, Shopping.com, Kelkoo) and CPC search (Google, Yahoo).

Well that's good news. I really don't have a clue about RSS feeds nor how to generate them.
I do recall trying to figure it out at one time with Google, but it was either over my head
or I didn't see the need to do so.
I was already placed high in the majors.

Something to look into I guess. Just sharing my experience as to what I've done
that for what ever reason, has placed me pretty consistently, high up on most engines.

Again nothing scientific, just what has seemed to work for me.

I'd have to agree that I'd rather have people coming direct
to the site than to other venues
first as well and I'm really not sure exactly where they are coming from.
They just keep coming.

That's another weak area for me as well. Reading traffic reports.
For the most part the reports I generated from Yahoo (when I was over there)
really didn't tell me much or I just didn't understand how to read them.

I guess my personal translation of success / visits to my site
comes in dollar amounts / orders. For what ever reason,
the rest just doesn't interest me unless I'm not getting sales.

I did see my Alexa ranking the other day. Pretty sad.
Now you have me scratching my head wondering what I could do better.
But I'm still not sure what further efforts would place me any
higher than I already am, with-out paying out BIG BUCKS for paid ads.

RSS feeds, maybe?

osCMax: using the built-in EasyPopulate to generate Froogle feeds
Quote:I'm fairly sure that both CRELoaded and osCMax have Google Base/Froogle and RSS mods too.

The built-in Easy Populate bulk lister mod in osCMax also generates froogle files.  Generate the file in osCMax, download it to your computer, and then upload it through your account on Google Base.

But is it as easy as you just made it sound?  Big Grin

Kewl ..I didn't know that.
What if you didn't use the "Easy Populate" or use the "bulk lister mod" in osCMax
to build your site?
Will this still pull a 'feed" from the My SQL data base?

It'll still generate the feed.

I've never used the easy populate on osCMax but the Zen easy populate was ported from the osC version and it's that easy.
