WASHINGTON (AFP) - From military strategy and human rights to labor standards and trade, China is expected to come under tighter scrutiny by the upcoming Democratic-controlled Congress.

In the run-up to the US elections, some Democrats lambasted Bush for the loss of millions of manufacturing jobs as a result of a tidal wave of cheap imports, resulting from what they say is a vastly undervalued Chinese currency.

This topic makes me burn.  

It hasn't only affected manufacturing jobs, it has affected everything in one way or another!
They have driven many artists and crafters out of business with their cheap exports. Businesses have failed as a result of being unable to compete with the pricing of goods manufactured in China.
The list is endless and the effects far-reaching. We have been blinded by the light of cheap imports and we are now paying. It needs to stop!
