...my gut reaction is that I don't want my memories erased. Even the bad ones.

Belle very good points. There are also other non-invasive techniques that have shown success in lessening the biochemical reactions to stressful/traumatic events. Biofeedback, relaxation therapies, are just a few.

I have been using meditation lately--------it does seem to reduce the stress and is so simple to do.  
Also taking a yoga class.

It has had wonderful results. You learn how to lower your blood pressure, body temperature, pulse, and other biochemical reactions that occur in the body due to stress/anxiety. It helps with panic attacks, anxiety, even physical pain such as headaches. Think of it like a mind body workout. You can purchase equipment for home use, but it is probably a better idea to go to a clinic with trained staff to get you started.

Thanks for the link. I think I may talk to my therapist about this and maybe give it a shot. Beats drugs, lol.
