Remember Brave New World?  This is just the soma pill.  The result is a zombie population.

Quote:Belle very good points. There are also other non-invasive techniques that have shown success in lessening the biochemical reactions to stressful/traumatic events. Biofeedback, relaxation therapies, are just a few.

I have been using meditation lately--------it does seem to reduce the stress and is so simple to do. Smile
Also taking a yoga class.

It has had wonderful results. You learn how to lower your blood pressure, body temperature, pulse, and other biochemical reactions that occur in the body due to stress/anxiety. It helps with panic attacks, anxiety, even physical pain such as headaches. Think of it like a mind body workout. You can purchase equipment for home use, but it is probably a better idea to go to a clinic with trained staff to get you started.  Smile

That sounds great, Chiquita!  Thumbsup      Do you know what type of equipment is involved?

Belle there are many different systems available. I am posting a link to a system for sale on ebay just to give you an idea. Usually it involves sensors that you place on your fingers, and the machine gives the readout.  Smile

Chiquita,

Thanks for the link. I think I may talk to my therapist about this and maybe give it a shot. Beats drugs, lol. Thumbsup
