"Knowing Me, Knowing You":A Game!!
The idea for this came from another forum-----it looked like fun there, so thought I'd put it up here.

The idea is just to have fun. :turkey1:    In that spirit, no real rules, just play nice and --wait---two rules!!

1. Each set of questions must be answered by at least 4 people before the next set can be asked.
2. You must participate in answering questions in order to ask them. Big Grin

The first set of 5 questions (all sets are 5 questions---okay, okay, so 3 rules, lol):

1. Do you believe that Sneaky is really a blue shark? Big Grin
2. Do you enjoy binging on anything occasionally, and, if so, what?
3. Do you prefer dogs or cats or whatevers?
4. Do you like to exercise?
5. What is your favorite book of all times?

1. Do you believe that Sneaky is really a blue shark?

Why, yes! Isn't everyone exactly what their avatar looks like? Aren't they?

2. Do you enjoy binging on anything occasionally, and, if so, what?

Jack fruit chips.

3. Do you prefer dogs or cats or whatevers?
I enjoy all animals--but we have a lot of cats right now.

4. Do you like to exercise?
Not really, but I do it anyway.

5. What is your favorite book of all times?

I can't possibly pick one, so I'll name a few of my eternal favorites (as in, read more than 3 times):
Tao Teh Ching (Lao Tzu)
Ulysses (James Joyce)
Catch-22 (Joseph Hellerman)
The Secret Sharer (a novella, really by Joseph Conrad)
Leaves of Grass (Walt Whitman)
Candide (Voltaire)
Death in Venice (Thomas Mann)
Mastering the Art of War (Zhuge Liang)
The Catcher in the Rye (J.D. Salinger)
The Collected Poems of Ezra Pound

Re: "Knowing Me, Knowing You":A Game!!
1. What is your favorite poem?

Probably a toss-up between
Walt Whitman's - "Songs of Myself"
Allen Ginsburg's Kaddish
Lao Tzu's "Tao Teh Ching"
Ezra Pound's "In a Station of the Metro"
Walt Whitman's "On Crossing Brooklyn Ferry"

Wait-- four is an unlucky number (edited to add: an it's even unluckier to be bad at mathematics)

Add
James Merrill's "the Changing Light at Sandover."

2.  Do you enjoy shopping--not online, but off. Where? Malls, business districts, etc.?
I prefer to shop online. I can't stand all the rude people. Although I used to enjoy thrift stores.

3. What is your favorite Ethnic food?
Ethnic meaning outside my own ethnicity? LOL. How about Chicken Tikka or Chicken Tikka Masala (Indian).

4. Which US city is your favorite?
I don't have one.

5. Why?
There's something good and bad about most places.

Thought I'd share the Ezra Pound poem, since it's so short. As reference, the Metro being the train/subway station:

Quote:In a Station of the Metro

The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet, black bough.

Re: "Knowing Me, Knowing You":A Game!!

1. What is your favorite poem?
XXIII (“Going to him!") by Emily Dickinson

2.  Do you enjoy shopping--not online, but off. Where? Malls, business districts, etc.?    I love to shop in business/shopping districts. I enjoy the cafes and individual non-cookie cutter shops. I especially enjoy it during the holidays when snow is falling and all the lights are on, etc.

3. What is your favorite Ethnic food?

Cantonese

4. Which US city is your favorite?
That's a tough one. It's a toss-up between Boston, DC, San Francisco and New Orleans.

5. Why?
I love Boston for Newbury St., lobster, and the nearby Cape.
I love DC for it's weather, diversity, shopping, Georgetown, museums and the great metro system. It is also very close to the Shenandoah Mtns, which is a beautiful area.
I love San Francisco for it's weather, it's beauty and restaurants.
I love New Orleans for it's sense of fun, the jazz clubs, the antique shops and beignet.
