A report by uSwitch.com suggests that by the year 2020, Britons could be spending as much as £162 billion online - around 40 per cent of total retail sales - if current trends continue...

Eight million households in the UK spend two hours a day browsing online shopping sites, and the average UK household spends nearly £1,000 a year on goods bought online. This accounts for a little over 10 per cent of the total annual shopping bill of the average household...
