ricardo.ch launches classified channel
13 February 2007 -- ricardo.ch, the Swiss operation of QXL ricardo plc, today announced the launch of a new classified channel, enhancing its offering to members. In addition to auctions and fixed price listings, members can now list a classified ad on the ricardo.ch site.

With over 25 main categories to list in, members pay a listing fee to display their ad and the seller and buyers contact each other directly. The same seller can now list in auction, fixed price or classified formats and all of these listings can be viewed together, giving buyers a wider choice. Furthermore the site offers buyers the flexibility to choose what type of listings they would like to see when they browse or search. Existing members of ricardo.ch do not need to register again to list in the classified channel. As in traditional classifieds, sellers pay a basic listing fee and have the option to give their listing more prominence by choosing from various promotional packages for a small fee and, unlike auction and fixed price listings, classified transactions carry no success fee.
