Rabid Squirrel Report Just A Case Of 'Sex And The City'
Quote:An officer was sent to a home on 10th Avenue shortly after 8:30 a.m. A man there told police a sick squirrel was in his backyard ''shaking, crying and [with] saliva coming from its mouth,'' police said.

The officer instead found two squirrels mating.

What squirrels really want
Quote:It occurred to me recently that squirrels are getting a little too uppity

A few minutes ago, while I was sipping coffee in my office, a gray squirrel leaped onto a window screen right next to my head. I was startled so badly that I spilled my coffee all over the Sudoku puzzle I was unsuccessfully working. (So I guess this event was not without its upside.)

The squirrel, meanwhile, was still clinging, head-downward, to the screen. The eye that I could see was glassy and dark and appeared to me to have a distinct malevolent streak in it. Its tail flicked in a taunting fashion as if to say, "You're lucky this screen is here, bub, or I'd come in there and bite you on the ear."

Pools are part of Squirrels' evil plot for World Domination
Confusedquirrel: Confusedquirrel2: Confusedquirrel:  Confusedquirrel: Confusedquirrel2: Confusedquirrel:  Confusedquirrel: Confusedquirrel2: Confusedquirrel:

Last week's article on the evil squirrel world's plot for world domination has a part two Common051

Quote:I also pointed out that squirrels seem not only more brazen these days, but also more numerous, to the point that you can hardly throw a used tire onto your front lawn anymore without bonking one in the head.

All of which led me to conclude that squirrels have a secret agenda, and that agenda is world domination.

You will notice that there is a pool theme in these two horror stories. I don't know quite what to make of that other than that squirrels like to be near a source of water while they are plotting the takeover of our planet.

Either way, I hope these chilling accounts of squirrels gone wild does not make you fear and distrust nature in general.

Butterflies, for example, hardly ever bother anyone.

Scientists: Animal in Laotian jungle isn't new species, but old one

It has the face of a rat and the tail of a skinny squirrel -- and scientists say this creature discovered living in central Laos is pretty special: It's a species believed to have been extinct for 11 million years.

Sugar Bush Squirrel: The World's Most Photographed Squirrel
Quote:Sugar Bush Squirrel  is a real, live Eastern Gray Squirrel who is owned and photographed by  Ms. Kelly Foxton. Rescued, as a baby in her nest, from a tree which was being cut down, she is now living the 'good life' with Kelly in Boca Raton, Florida. A small, lime-green parrot, named Rio, is her big sister and constant companion.

Being an International Superstar and The World's Most Photographed Squirrel, Sugar Bush loves to dress up, and has over 1,000 outfits with matching hats and accessories. Sugar Bush Squirrel has her own, posh studio with an elaborate stage and thousands of stage props, and has posed for over 1,000 photos since her modeling career began...
