Quote:I am considered by many to be a "hobby" seller now, just a few thousand monthly, which is more than any seller on aSs will sell all year. I'm a tiny fleaspeck in comparison to most of my competitors but in the past 2 weeks we've managed to gross more than AlsoShop's YTD sales. Quote:77 (down from 86) store owners I wonder if Alsoshop's 40% drop in Y/Y November sales when everyone else was experiencing strong Y/Y improvements had anything to do with the drop in stores. |

Quote:when everyone else was experiencing strong Y/Y improvements Online retailers in the US experienced strong Y/Y improvements in November. You're not taking into account the fact that 18.4% of Alsoshop's unique visitors come from Karlsruhe, Inzlingen, and Pforzheim. Alsoshop's slow November sales are probably attributable to shoppers waiting until the winter sales ( the "Winterschlussverkauf") start on the last Monday in January. |

Stats, stats, stats!
Alsoshop December 1-18 Wrote:Total Unique Listings with Sales: 647 translation 1a (37 unique sellers): 52.6% of ASs store owners have yet to sell an item this month translation 1b: start planning for Valentine's Day! translation 2a (61 unique buyers): OMFG, the propagandistic drivel spewing trolls at Google are redirecting buyers to other sites because they're jealous of Alsoshop's success! translation 2b: Regi's Winterschlussverkauf theory is right

Quote:Dec 2009 There were only 6 sales ("sells" in rinkydinkese) since yesterday but one of them was a $1,420 gold coin sold by a member who joined on the 16th. The 2 bidders joined on the 17th and 19th. The coin was the seller's only listing. http://www.alsoshop.com/auction_details...._id=779001 Excluding the fake sale I count 5 sales for $34 in 24 hours. Is coinage the long lost brother of bookz?

I'd hate for you to have to find a new address for your illegal projects like torrentscript.com.

[/quote] That auction, which was the only item ever listed by that "seller" ended late at night on 12/19 (late Saturday night PST)--i.e. the earliest it could have been shipped was 12/21. Feedback was left on the 22nd (Tuesday morning PST). Including the fake sale, ASs 12/09 GMV rose 17% Y/Y to $3500...without it, December Y/Y GMV fell 30% to $2100. It's been said before by others, but...THANK GOD I'll never be binarywebs, AlsoShop, Plunderhere, or PSU. Our 12/09 Y/Y sales rose 70%...did I mention that our December sales were more than the Alsoshop's cumulative GMV since it opened in March 2008? On a humorous note...click here
