Yahoo Stores Adds Automated Cross-Selling

Yahoo Small Business is putting the power of suggestion to work for online merchants looking to boost holiday season sales. Yahoo today is launching two new tools that enable e-tailers to automate the process of presenting shoppers with cross-selling suggestions, and creating keyword lists to improve online marketing efforts. The new enhancements to Yahoo's e-commerce platform, Merchant Solutions, take advantage of data-driven insights into how customers navigate individual merchants' Web sites on their way to making purchases.

"Having a great-looking Web site is just a starting point for online retailing success. Yahoo!'s goal is to continually enhance our e-commerce solution to give merchants a big assist in attracting more shoppers and converting them into buyers," said Jimmy Duvall, senior director of e-commerce products, Yahoo Small Business. "Some larger online retailers are paying many thousands of dollars for cross-selling solutions.
