A preview of IRCE 2008

Quote:Where does e-commerce go from here?
With the web firmly established as part of the retailing mainstream, the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition will take up the next steps for e-retailers. Here’s a sneak peak at what speakers have to say...

Though Forrester Research predicts online retail sales will grow by another 17% this year to $204 billion, despite a weakening economy, none of the speakers is likely to propose simply riding the wave. Instead, they will address such pressing issues as how to take advantage of the many new technologies that can make web sites more appealing and profitable; how to manage customer-created content, from ratings and reviews to video and blogs; the ever-changing world of search engine optimization and marketing; mobile commerce and other emerging trends; and such nuts and bolts issues as fulfilling orders efficiently and choosing among e-commerce platforms...

Oh goodie, I've learned so much from your previous years' reports.  I can hardly wait for this year's.  :Smile

Valleygirl reporting from IRCE 2006

[quote author=valleygirl link=topic=1737.msg15742#msg15742 date=1149623804]
Greetings from Chicago.  My brain hurts. Information overload.  Yesterday's website marketing workshop lasted 8 hours. Ugh. Today's presentations and speeches started at 8 am. Ugh.  I'll go into more detail later.  Still to come today are presentations on shopping malls and comparison sites, and using content on your site.  Cocktail party followed by dinner and The Temptations tonight.

...and who could forget Valleygirl's reports  from last year's IRCE:
