Just to prove the importance of a great logo, I have a little logo test. Your score will go on your permanent record, so do it to the best of your ability. Also, I need to get some people to shut up about the MasterCard thing. The best logos are boiled down to unforgettable simplicity that even a kindergartner could draw after seeing it, such as the condom laying on top of the MasterCard thing.

Is the reason I didn't know the other 19 because their designs weren't as good as the 11 I knew, or is it because the companies they represent didn't spend as much on advertisements that shoved their logo in front of my eyes at every turn?

I got 14, but the ones I didn't know, I could not guess to save my life. I don't know if it was because the ads sucked or if the logos are for porno products that I'd know nothing about.
I got 11 also. So imho, most of them didn't do what they intended to do.

It's interesting, the ones I didn't get didn't even look familiar. You would think at least one of them I would be thinking "oh, I know this, if I could remember . . . ", but nope, no recognition whatsoever for the other 17.

I didn't get it when I took the test but when I read your post I remembered their logo.
I got the Lucent one, but that was probably due to working at Winstar who was funded almost completely by Lucent.
I was just curious, because it's an odd logo - yet it stuck in my memory.
