Quote: Textbook Season Tips
Dear Sellers,
Textbook season is upon us! We are including some best practices (below) for managing your business during the back-to-school season. We hope these tips will help you manage your business for optimal buyer experience and seller performance during this busy time of year!
The peak demand for textbook orders typically occurs between mid-August and mid-September. We suggest checking orders daily during this peak period.
If you sell through multiple sales channels, you will probably want to update your inventory daily during the peak period.
If possible, offer expedited shipping. Textbook orders historically more than doubles during the peak season, and many of the buyers select expedited shipping.
Make sure the item you list for sale exactly matches the item on the detail page where you are listing your product. For example, do not list a 3rd edition textbook on the detail page of the 4th edition.
To ensure that your package arrives at its destination, consider shipping your textbooks with delivery confirmation or tracking.
We recommend that you closely monitor your e-mail inbox for buyer correspondence during this period. This will enable you to respond faster to your buyers with high-quality customer service.
Remember, you must accept returns, even if the order is fulfilled correctly. To expedite returns, consider including a return address for your buyer's use in the original shipment.
Do not list or sell prohibited items; for example, Annotated Teachers Editions (including manuals) and teacher's editions that provide annotated answer keys not found in the student textbook editions are not permitted for sale --any listings for these materials will be cancelled..
