Re: Biggest OAI Boinktard Auction Site Owner of All Time Poll
Quote:I've sold plenty of items in that store, but I can't help it if buyers don't leave feedback. The "HiBidder Powersellers" list on their front page, and the fact that the entire site averages 16 sales per day, indicates that nobody on the site is really selling "plenty of items" and the site is a complete waste of time. The top seller only has 352 sales in 1 3/4 years and based on their ASPs (which all seem to be below $10) that would equate to an average monthly gross well under $250 for HB's top seller--even Wagglepop can offer its top sellers more sales than that (not to mention the fact that Ray and his socks provide far more entertainment value for outsiders than HB's owner and his admin ) Based on HB's multi-year track record of paltry site sales, the "eBay Alternative" tag they have splashed on their front page is definitely a misnomer. Bet I've got a lot more selling experience than you do .... or is it one of those things that you like to pretend to know more about than anyone else? How about checking out the facts before you go shooting off your mouth about stuff you know nothing about .....
:blinkie: :blinkie: :blinkie: Alrighty then Thanks for the comic relief. |

The top seller only has 352 sales in 1 3/4 years
3 days later and HB's top seller still has 352 sales. Triple goose eggs! Nada, naught, nil, nix, nothing, null, zero, zilch, zip, zippo sales by HiBidder's Admin in 3 days! Way to go boinktardo!

Did our analysis of HB's pitiful sales have anything to do with their decision? ;D ++++++

Re: Biggest OAI Boinktard Auction Site Owner of All Time Poll
Ever wonder why Quantcast shows HiBidder with a pitiful 5,200 monthly visitors and yet they have a respectable Alexa rank of 128,000?
The answer: http://www.hibidder.com/ittybittyurl/ They learned that Alexa manipulation trick from their pals Pheebay (which has an Alexa rank of 97,000 despite Quantcast showing it with only 4300 monthly visitors). A few ad networks like AdBrite and TextLinkAds base their rates in part on Alexa rankings (as do a few domain valuation sites) so manipulating them means higher ad revenues for site owners who do it.
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |
