Weakening Economy Could Increase Usage of Online Coupons

67% of consumers polled by ICOM Information and Communications say they increase coupon use in a weakened economy. 58% favor electronic coupons delivered to loyalty cards online. 45% of U.S. consumers polled in a recent online survey say they’re much more likely to use coupons during a recession and 22% say they’re somewhat more likely. And 58% say their use of coupons would increase if they could download a coupon from the web and have it automatically connected to an electronically swiped frequent shopper card.
