Problems continue...
...sellers still not receiving notice of sales, purchased items still not showing up in the buyers Manager, items still not auto relisting, gallery pictures have gone back to not showing up, slow or no response to sellers' questions via the forum or email, etc. One seller who signed up back in March posed the question "Will they ever get it right?".

Re: Problems continue...
Dazed012  I hadn't been there in a few days.  when did they drop the "Clone of Carnaby" look (on the front page only)?  I would have thought that redoing the site's appearance  would be a low priority until everything else is working.

What's with the new tab? http://bidchaser.com/digitalmedia.php  Do they have the manpower to police a digital downloads section...and should they even think about introducing a new section/feature before they fix existing problems?

This week on BC:

Quote:THERE ARE BUGS IN THE PROGRAMS!
EXTREMELY UPSET WITH FAILURE TO RESPOND TO EMAILS !!!!!
Another No End of Auction Notice
Inventory
RELIST TIL SOLD "NOT" WORKING!
HELP - Winning Auction - Yeah - No End-of-Auction Notice !!

Quote:One seller who signed up back in March

I've noticed that several sellers who were HUGE cheerleaders of the site in the Spring are now ready to rip Leo and Cesar's heads off (and have stated they won't list until the problems are fixed).  BC will really have their work cut out for themselves if they want to win back these sellers.

There seems to be a gross lack of direction and focus by the BC owners. Instead of contending with the numerous, continuing functionality problems of the site they always seem to be starting new projects (their lotto, the India based BC, digital media (??), re-creating the site's appearance, etc.). Seems like they should have their original auction/store site functioning correctly before starting new projects. Smileyyellowbang

They've done that twice this year.   :Smile

That would be the sensible thing to do.  It would have been even more sensible for them to have done that before they embarked on their 'forum advertising' campaign last February or produced commercials/sent out emails, etc....

Re: Problems continue...
Half the gallery pictures are broken on the browse pages today--I'm using Firefox.

Still unable to relist when using Firefox--have to switch to IE.

EDITED: the Clearance Center is also broken

Quote:We are looking at the clearance center, and noticed there are some things that need to be changed for it to work properly. For now, I would suggest not using the Clearance Center, and we will remove the button temporarily until it is taken care of.

You can take those items that were in the clearance center, and from the Main Inventory page, add them to your store, and they should show up fine.

The broken images get a mention on this thread

Edited to add: Aah, the 'Digital Media' tab is explained in a press release today:

Quote:Leo Cunha, President of Bidchaser stated: "We are excited to be able to offer interactive shopping and digital entertainment directly to Bidchaser Interactive community members. This is an excellent way for us to not only improve and grow our online auction and marketplace, but also to differentiate ourselves by applying the e-commerce model to provide a secure and ready marketplace for digital media."

"Bidchaser is combining the successful elements of the popular cable shopping channel model with hugely successful e-commerce model to create an entertaining and interactive web-based marketplace and we're excited to be a part of it," said Paul D Hamm, Endavo CEO.

Why would anybody familiar with BC think they could handle something like digital media?? Shoot, even the Featured Items on their main page are items that have closed! There are those little boxes with red Xs in them (where a photo should be) on their main page too. Talk about inept! They just can't seem to get anything right before starting a new project. It is unbelieveable that BC still has supporters. They must have high gullable levels. Sign18

BidChaser Supoort Advices User Not to List Until End of Week
http://bidchaser.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=8164#8164

insigned message brom BidChaser support:

Quote:Hello,

I have sent this on to the support team, and have been advised that this, and several other problem areas that have already been mentioned on these boards, are being worked on at this time. It may be best if you withhold your listings until the end of the week, when things will be more stable.

Thanks.

Re: Problems continue...
Hijacking off topic for a minute, this quote by Carol  was interesting:

http://bidchaser.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1155&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30

Quote:While this place is currently the worst example of the manglement being "out to lunch", it's not the only place where the owner/management has disappeared. Reports on other boards are that TAM and Dealmainia are MIA too.

I'm never really surprised when small auction site owners go from daily fixtures on OAI boards hyping (spamming) their sites to MIA...other owners who followed the same pattern earlier this year included LunarBid (disappeared months before site's unannounced closing) and GoShopGirl (MIA on her site since May).

papi responds on the same thread:

Quote:Ebay inspite of the exorbtant fees is the only place we will be able to have sales of any sort, we just have to pass it on to the customers somehow

OK, that statement embodies why I detest most forum spamming small auction site owners:  they build people's hopes up with unrealistic expectations and 9 times out of 10 the result is the sellers end up returning to eBay with the belief that eBay is the only way to get online sales...I think I said this better on   this thread
