I just read a blog on how to get your website and info, including your blogs, to the masses.  They suggest an RSS.  The company I'm working for is about to try blog sydication and I was curious, if done properly, does it work? 
One thing I've done was to post a bit of a blog in a forum and then provide a link back to the full blog.  That was done mostly to answer a forum question.  Is that  good idea, or is it a bit too "self-promoting?"
