Bob, I really like Ackerman's color and style. Some are very cezanne-ish to me.
Basically, the only *art* I don't much care for is that which looks like a kindergartener did it. Or a completely deranged mind. Other than that, art is a lot like music to me. I know what I like when I hear/see it. And I like lots of different things! Edit to add: I took another *full* look at griffel's works, and see that she's living in Tucson, and there are a few Grand Canyon and southern AZ landscape scenes amongst the pieces on her website. I am very, very familiar with the impressionist style. It's what we see out here all over -- and there are some artists out here that do absolutely stunning works. Color is FOREMOST in the southwest and west. I love it, personally.... Actually, when it comes right down to it, I just plain admire creative talent. |
