Captain Kirk Wants to Sell His Kidney Stone on EBay
William Shatner, TV's Captain Kirk of Star Trek fame, wants to sell his recently removed kidney stone on eBay to raise money for charity.  He is calling is kidney stone "the ultimate piece of Star Trek memorabilia."

eBay listing policies prohibit the listing of kidney stones.

I don't know if this story warrants a  :Smile or a  Happy001  Perhaps both are appropriate for this "collectibles" news.

Yes, I heard that on the 6:00 news last night and couldn't believe THAT of all things hit the news?  They said he wanted to sell his kidney stone on eBay but said they wouldn't allow him to because it was a "body part" and body parts are not allowed to be sold on eBay.

Seems to me like he's grasping at the straws to try and keep him name known these days.

He sold it on Monday to casino GoldenPalace.com for $25,000.  He's donating the proceeds to Habitat for Humanity

That's disgusting.  Hey, wait a minute, I have a fibroid tumor - maybe I should get it removed so that I can pickle it in a jar and sell it too?  Laughing7

Blech!!! This whole thing is gross.  I'm surprised he doesn't get lipsuction and sell the fat that they take out.  Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewe, don't give him any ideas, he probably would do that as that is just as equally disgusting as selling his kidney stone.

Blech and I just had breakfast.    Puke
