Quote:Martin Wu, eBay China's chief executive, has indulged in new interests since he was appointed after being lured from Microsoft Corp in September, including reading female dating guide magazines.

To differentiate the company from its domestic rivals, eBay provides clients an across-the-board online trading as well as related guarantee services. That means for example eBay China's users can buy discounted products in Hong Kong and South Korea during the festive season.

"We will launch various promotions every one or two months in 2006 to tighten the relationship among (our) 15.1 million users," said Wu, a former Microsoft chief marketing officer.
