The boards just seem to be imploding, don't they?  Sad

Maybe we should license our "Guess What..." forum concept to eBay: the original poster can accept or reject answers based on whether they correctly answer the question/solve the problem, and the topic automatically locks itself when the problem is solved.  I'm off to see how much they'll pay...    Toothy10

Ebay.au: Coming Soon: Helpfulness Ratings for the Answer Centre

***Coming Soon: Helpfulness Ratings for the Answer Centre***

27 March 2006 | 09:43AM EST

In the next few days we're going to make some improvements to the Answer Centre, one of our member-to-member help areas. In case you've never visited, you can get to the Answer Centre from the Community Hub (click Community from the navigation bar at the top of any eBay page).

The Answer Centre is a place where buyers and sellers can get quick answers to their questions from other more experienced members. To make this area even more useful, this week we're adding a rating system in the Answer Centre to make it easier to find the most helpful content.

Give a Yes or No helpfulness vote
For each answer provided by other members, youll be able to vote "Yes" or "No" to indicate whether it was helpful. The results will be shown to the right of each answer (for example, "4 of 5 members found this answer helpful").

Sorting by helpfulness
You'll also be able to search by keyword for information about a certain topic, and sort the results by the ratings so the most helpful answers are at the top.

Launch Plan: Answer Centre Unavailable Wednesday 29th March from 4am AEDST
In order to add these ratings, the Answer Centre will be unavailable from 4am on Wednesday March 29th for approximately 8 hours.

The Answer Centre is a great place to get help and advice from some of your most knowledgeable colleagues. To visit, please click here.

Regards,
The eBay Team

We are still at it, but the taglines don't seem to help much.  Bob got a 30 day vacation now.  But I don't think ebay will do anything.  The UK regs don't like it either.

eBay will only reverse a decision for two reasons: 1. financial  or 2. to avoid bad publicity .  Neither one of them apply here.

Re: I wouldn't bother wasting a mouse click to read this announcement
I know. I've said that plenty of times, as well as a few other things, but noone seems to understand my points.  We have a forum so we can talk about all that stuff.

Bob's suspensions = bad publicity, but most of the regs are afraid to speak up.  Seems like they are afraid of eBay, but Bob isn't!  Wink
