Allegations Yahoo Collaborated With Chinese Government to Jail Journalist
Reporters Without Borders issued a statement alleging that Yahoo supplied the Chinese government with information that helped jail a Chinese business journalist. The China operations of Yahoo, Microsoft, google and other foreign technology and Internet companies have come under frequent criticism due to their willingness to censor content and overlook other rights abuses in an effort to gain favor with the Chinese government in hopes of gaining a share of the Chinese market..
From the Reporters Without Borders statement: Quote: Information supplied by Yahoo ! led to the conviction of a good journalist who has paid dearly for trying to get the news out. It is one thing to turn a blind eye to the Chinese governments abuses and it is quite another thing to collaborate.... the entire statement: http://www.rsf.org/article.php3?id_article=14884 ...and an article from BBC News: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4221538.stm
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |

Censor content? NO WAY. Hey that sounds like ebay and LieWorld US.
No wonder Meg wants in China so bad. She's a bloody communist. I can see China kicking all those companies out soon after they are all set up and established. You know right before they... or during the... take back of Tiwain. Coming soon to an Asian region near. Well China.
