eBay Eachnet forms alliance with Chinese retailer Paradise Electronics

Quote:The China unit of online auctioneer eBay Inc. has formed an alliance with one of the nation's biggest retailers in a bid to gain more traction with mainstream Chinese shoppers, it said on Thursday.

Under the alliance, eBay will set up an online store for Paradise Electronics Retail Ltd., one of China's top consumer electronics retailers and a well known consumer brand known locally as Yongle, a spokeswoman said.

The alliance is one of many recent ones announced by eBay's China division, but is also one of the first with a major bricks-and-mortar retailer, in a nod to the fact that many Chinese still do not feel comfortable about shopping online...
