Rotting Apple Whines Copyright Infringement Over a Link in a Forum Post

Large corporations are becoming increasingly desperate in their attempts to silence any criticism of their faulty products and bad customer service.  Apple computer is threatening to sue a forum owner after an Apple customer whose Apple laptop overheated posted a  LINK  in a forum post to a copy of an Apple laptop manual that was on a different web site.

NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING is even hosted on SA. All we have is a link going to somebody else's webspace. I guess Apple has no clue how the Internet even works; they should be threatening to sue the ISP hosting the horribly illegal service manual, not some guy who runs a forum where his forum members are TRYING TO HELP people fix issues with their faulty Apple computers. I replied to Apple and told them basically to screw off because I'm not doing anything illegal. All I got back was a standard form letter, so who knows if they even bothered reading it.

I'll let you guys know if anything else exciting happens. Why does it seem like Apple's legal team is constantly trying to alienate its loyal fanbase? Jeez, all the guy doing in that thread was trying to help people who bought faulty Apple products.

From bloggers to customers to the record labels, Apple is initimidating everybody and getting away with it.  Hopefully, sooner rather than later, people will start voting this behavior out with their dollars...
