In fairness to the 'medical reasons' seller DB they stated they were going in for major surgery. With an estimate of recovery time being six weeks. I know we've heard this before as a face-saving reason to disappear but it could be legit. Time will reveal all. [/quote] I was just making a ha-ha. I'm sure it is legit. I doubt, however, this seller will have much to come home to at WP after convalescing for 6 weeks. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
njr,
Thank you for the accolades - and you too Truth. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time to trigger communication with both of you and a few others. We've all done our share of guiding some of the disillusioned poppers to this thread so that they can heal their bruised businesses and learn that, as with eBay, there is life after WP and a better opportunity is attainable around the corner. Many see drawing away from WP as their 2nd failure and they are petrified of inviting the 3rd by jumping from the WP Titanic. Poppers, NEVER let this mind set get a grip on you and prevent you from reaching your goals or potential especially when you know you can do it and have a track record of putting your heart into making it so. If you lose faith in your selling venue don't toss the confidence in yourself, your expertise or your product through the same window. We here on this thread have all done a cracker job of illustrating through our own experiences and endeavours, coupled with the valuable information and resources available on this site, that you can indeed walk down the yellow brick road. You just have to find the right signpost. You will certainly find the right mix of posters to help you head in the right direction. Kudos to all my friends, old and new here on TT (I'm not talking physical years so don't box my ears) who have moved out and moved on - to discover a rebirth of their dreams.
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
njr -
I'm a buyer on the bay. I prefer to buy from store owners. When I look for a widget, I do an auction search. I check the galleries to see if I see something interesting. Then, I check to see if that seller has a store. I very rarely make purchases from non-store owners, unless their feedback warrants it. I would rather pay a higher store price with combined shipping discounts (when available) than deal with auction-only. JMHO
I hate stupid people!

Hi Fine. If I may pat myself on the back, I've got an impeccable record....700 plus feedback is decent number to me. Granted, it's not in the thousands, but I think it's an OK number, I will get it higher. I know that's your opinion, but may I ask why you wouldn't buy from an auction lister? Like my situation......single mom, special needs kiddo at home, uable to work, needs to get off food stamps, trying to make ends meet...yadda yadda yadda. I do combine shipping for lower $ too. I'm sure there are more sellers out there in my same boat. Just was wondering.

Karen finally put her two cents into the thread ...
"[b]Hello Members, The "look and feel" of Wagglepop is certainly going to evolve over time, and I would assume include more and differently constructed graphics as that process occurs. The current graphical elements are not by design slanted towards women or towards men as a design philosophy, rather, just a mix of choices from the available "pool" of graphics as supplied Karen - WP Customer Care" Just to keep those who can't access the boards in the know ....
