Sorry scoop, your namesake just left the building. Not closed - just empty.
He replaced it with: http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/affordab...ttreasures Another ghost store.

Unfortunately I am sure Ray will. But will the sellers run to WP? Only time will tell. : In the meantime Ebay is gonna bring down the hammer once more.
The hammer may well be rising for the momentum it needs to slam down hard onto the wallets of eBay sellers. And another exodus will result. But I'd be very surprised if WP benefits as they did last summer. There is more history to WP today, most of it negative. Nevermind history about WP1 - history about WP2. It's been expressed on numerous boards, seller to seller communication and by testimonies/blogs from those that have been there done that. This will prove to be detrimental to WP's efforts to add to their customer base. Sure, they will pick up some new innocents from a fallout but not enough to ever realize 900+ stores again. WP is on life support and I agree Truth, Rat; it's only a matter of time before the plug is pulled. With recent events, store count dropping below 300, Ray has been creating new ghost stores. Here's a few we can all play wait and see when they appear as active: http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/Tupperwa...oreeDreams http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/iron_mountain_discounts http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/abc Ray, you are an anus aperture!!!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
This is a quote of a comment on the ebay article regarding store fee hikes.
Now who does this remind you of? Quote:I encourage sellers to consider other venues, most especially Amazon. Amazon PARTNERS WITH merchants - Amazon promises that they don't make money unless YOU, the merchant, make money. eBay, on the other hand, acts as a complete adversary, and only offers empty promises - their approach is, "pay us a bunch of listing fees, and maybe we'll bring you some buyers...but maybe we won't. But we don't care, because we got your money up front and it doesn't hurt us a bit if you don't actually sell anything." Just substitute ebay with WP. |
Muahahaha :twistedevil: Actually I've been a naysayer for quite a while, but the avatar I just changed yesterday. I finally broke down and did a MySpace page and the old avatar just didn't blend in too well. Y'all have to come visit me over there sometime: http://www.myspace.com/oldriverratdriftwood I swear it was worse setting that up than it was my Zen Cart website! oops screwed up the link! Duh!

Quote:The hammer may well be rising for the momentum it needs to slam down hard onto the wallets of eBay sellers. And another exodus will result. But I'd be very surprised if WP benefits as they did last summer. There is more history to WP today, most of it negative I would have to agree, not to mention that eBay is now wise to WP spammers and is policing the boards with much more diligence than in the past. Ray's only hope is to create something with a totally different business plan, with no Waggle or Pop or dopey dancing bunnies or any reference to Ray, Revolution, or anything else that begins with "R" anywhere. Even then, Ray would have a difficult time recruiting, as sellers are much more reluctant these days to jump on the bandwagon of any untried, untested, virgin site. Eventually, Ray's boinktardistic greed and evangelical would bleed through any lead shield of secrecy he choses to encase any scam, anyway, and the project would sink like a waterlogged turd. No, Ray needs to get into a line of work where his talents would be appreciated. He's definitely lacking the class, smarts or finesse necessary for a spot in the Mafioso. Besides, Mafia Dons have little tolerance for grunts with big egos. How about "Ray's Fuzzy Slipper Used Car Sale", where "$10 Buys You Any Set of Wheels". Of course, if you want an engine and a chassis, that's extra. Or maybe he could work as the head of PR for Ken Lay or Billy Swaggart. Or maybe he could team up with an inventor who'll come up with a way to collect all the methane produced by Ray's and convert it into enough energy to light Central Park for midnight marathons. :turkey1: :turkey1: Don't fret, Ray, we know you lurk the boards here, and I'm sure the brains on TT will be able to come up with plenty of ideas for you. |
