Quote:If Wagglepop's advertising budget is non existent, why can't we invest our money to help to make this site a GO. I don't see anywhere where you can get information about investing. I would be glad to invest about $1500.00 in this site if I could and that way I could have a say about how it is run. Is Ray selling shares? If so, I would like to buy 1 or 2 shares for my money.

It's amazing to me. There are people starving. Dying from lack of medical attention. There are homeless children and animals that need help. Good causes that could use support...

There are also many other sites more worthy of a business investment. There are other sites more capable of returning on that investment.

Who has $1500 to throw away? If she has that much to throw away, why doesn't she invest it in a better site? Build her own site?

Also, if she has $1500 to spare, why would she think of only buying 2 shares in the company? I sure hope she doesn't think each WP share would be worth ~$800.

I wouldn't give 8 cents for the whole company.  Sleepy1

Clearly, she is insane.  Munky2

:blinkie:

Quote:"Since this is where and how the whole idea started, I think it's only fitting that it end here as well.

Within hours, I will be closing Wagglepop for good, and forever.

The servers will be shut down, and all drives reformatted, destroying any and all personal data.

No one owes a single penny.

This whole idea started simply because of people, and my faith in them, and my desire to make a difference.

Now, it's people that have left me no other choice but to shut it down.

What started out as an interesting challenge has instead become the most painful, personal few months of my life, and my confidence in what I believed about faith and humanity are shaken and shattered..... perhaps forever.

To those who supported me, I cannot express enough how proud I am of the journey we took together, and how much your support and kind words have meant through the longest of days and nights.

I will be forever grateful, and carry it with me always.

To those who most assuredly have not supported me, or Wagglepop...... Who have day after day, minute by minute done everything possible to destroy the site...... I have but a few words:

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

If I live a hundred more years before I encounter such morally bankrupt miscreants again, it will be a day too soon.

Ultimately, the only eyes that need judge us that count are two: our own, and those of God.

In both regards I am clear as to what I have accomplished, and had worked so very hard for, and in that, I find my only necessary redemption.

I'm looking forward now to walking away from this interesting online experience, away from my computers, away from the judging eyes of anonymity.....and feeling the grass on my feet and the sun on my face again.

I'm going back to the 'real world', where people look you in the eye when they speak to you, where "please" and "thank you" are heard, and where simple decent behavior and effort are appreciated, and rewarded.

Farewell, and Good Luck.

Rest in Peace, Wagglepop...... We hardly knew ya.

Ray"

Jessie --that's classic Ray from 2005. The end of the hissy fit that tore down WP1.

For approximately 20-25 minutes this afternoon, site access was intermittently interrupted for some "unscheduled" maintenance.

All servers are back online and behaving normally at this time.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and support Smile

Ray's purchase of the "Start Your Own Cult" ebook is paying off. I believe that topic is covered in Chapter 2 "How to convince your followers to donate their life savings to the cause" :Smile  Smileykoolaid

Quote:Ok, first off, there is a lot of us here because we had it with feebay AND some sellers from here came to feebay to let sellers there know about this place, how they made sales and how great this place is! We listen to these people, we believed these people. Over and over it was posted there.

...and of course it's purely a coincidence that those posters starting singing the praises of WP on the eBay boards the day it opened and that Wagglepop has 14 eBay IDs (and that DRM started posting at Auctiva and EcommerceArena at the same time) Smile

Ray is well versed in that one. As I recall, there were several dopes who offered to invest in waggleflop 1.
