Anyone on this board who thinks that they were "hurt" by being given the opportunity to sell on WP only hurt themselves. And yes, it is downright pitiful.
given the opportunity. ROTFLMFAOPIMP ;D Hey USuckAss, have you ever considered a career as a standup comedian? You'd be a natural.

A smart seller could have and promote their own site if they chose to AND sell on eCrater AND sell on WP for $9.95/month (which is nearly free in the grand scheme of most sellers' business expenses). There's no need to limit your potential by cutting WP out of the picture, and certainly no need to sling crap at WP for giving sellers another option to grow their businesses.
Grow their businesses ..........Yeah ......Straight to hell! If you keep drinking the and following and trusting the KayRay man/woman! |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
User391, I think I am to the conclusion that either 1) you are young and really have no idea about what you are posting here, or 2) you have never had a formal education in business and marketing. Well, you don't really need a formal education, just watch kids sometimes... do they want something that they don't see on TV or billboards? No, advertisements make businesses profitable. The small amount of money needed to get some advertising, and not pop3 and pop-ups or unders, will in turn generate traffic and promote sales to afford that marketing, "advertisements". So to say that WP cant afford to advertise because it is small is a farce and really a statement with no thought behind it. You do not even have to be like e-bay and do all the TV, radio, newspaper, etc. All you need to do is something small to get the ball rolling. Using a form of advertising that EVERYONE with computer litericy blocks is outrageous. I am just surprised at most of the things that you post here. It seems that you are just trying to defend WP and Ray without having any basis for it.
For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:sell list on WP for $9.95/month (which is nearly free in the grand scheme of most sellers' business expenses).("sell" changed to "list" in the above quote due to WP's abysmal sell-through rates) $9.95 + the labor costs involved in listing on any site which are far more than $9.95 (I'm leaving out FVF because you need buyers in order to pay FVF fees ). When you factor in the labor costs (time involved), you'll earn pennies (single digit) per hour if you list on WP. I can't pay my bills if I'm earning an income that is far below the hourly rates paid in most 3rd world sweatshops. I receive far more value for the $39.95 monthly I pay Amazon than I would from a $9.95 per month not-revolutionary (Amazon has had unlimited monthly subscriptions since 2000) WP SmartSellPro package. bottom line: I can't afford to list on any site where I'll receive pennies per hour for my time. |

I'm Ray, I'm Ray you'll do it my way.
No time to say hello, good-bye, I'm Ray, I'm Ray, I'm Ray I'm Ray and when I ban, I lose the sellers I enslave. My fuzzy ears and whiskers took me too much time to shave. I lie and then I hop, hop, hop, I wish that I could fly. There's danger if I dare to stop and here's a reason why: I'm without a clue, I'm in a fuzzy pink slipper stew. Can't even say good-bye, Hello, I'm Ray, I'm Ray, I'm Ray.
