I don't know what we went round and round about, but you know I have the interests of the sellers at heart and NOT KaRay, and I get insane over seeing naive sellers snowed by the KaRay feeds them as a regular diet.
I knew you did when you first started posting on the boards I just didn't see what you were seeing. I went a few rounds with you on what WP needed to be doing to help the sellers. I remember a lot of your posts and those are the ones that made me out my opens and see things in a different way. Then of course I started asking my own questions about things and ended up getting a warning and then my posts were removed and I was banned from the site. They were all business related. Well except one where I asked why they were posting things pertaining to one sellers account of their balance and they needed top pay their bill. I thought that was not right to do so and when I said so I got booted. I did get your PM and sent one back! |

Quote:wagglepopCC1 14 May 2007 13:02bolding mine Translation: Blame those no-good, dead beat sellers who smartened up and blew the popstand for scewing up the much-needed changes. Not that we would have bothered to fix these issues anyway, but we have to place blame somewhere, as we, KaRay are omnipotent, infallible cult leaders and therefore always right, justified, and never take responsibility for our own short-comings.
Exactly, DB. IMO, "direct reflection of user support" should be the reflection of the customer service staff as part of the sellers' team. True business people's customer support should be set to a very high standard within its services. A seller's success is a direct reflection on THAT support team. I expect a business staff to be knowledgeable, fully-trained experts with direct access to the customer and technical departments. A business should be updated regularly with state-of-the-art technology. And, last but not least, monthly newsletters should cover news items, new features, and user tips.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Here's an update on the departures at WP. Some of these stores that closed were true blue poppers for months who gave it their all. I dare the brainwashed members to refute this conviction.
The dates I will quote are not necessarily the day they left but represent the days I was home to record them. May 7th: Odekirk's Yearbooks and More - 235 items, empty but not closed. Advertised for fellow poppers on MySpace and started one of the groups. H&M Gifts and More - 35 items, empty but not closed and we know why. Amazing Grace - 34 items, emptied but came back May 9th with 38 items. Suspected ghost store. ZAJA Natural Handmade Confections - 26 items, empty but not closed. Could be back as indicated from their post. May 9th: Prairie Post Emporium - 149 items, closed. One of the founders of the Circle of Stores. BIG BIG FUN! - 42 items - empty but not closed. New member as of Apr 15th; could be back. Seaside - 2 items (high of 5), empty but not closed. New member as of last month. IMHO a ghost store and will be back. May 11th: Charmed Ambitions - 220 items, closed. MythRoan's Dream Compass - 202 items, closed. The Sportz Shop - 53 items, closed. Blue Ridge Meadows - 45 items (used to be 246), closed. An original popper who gave endless help to others on WP. Collectible Home Decor & Gifts - 15 items, closed. New member as of last month. May 13th: Sthrndeb's Bargin Clothing & More - 21 items, closed. Barbara's Best Boutique - 7 items, empty but not closed. New member this month. IMHO a ghost store and will be back. That brings us up to date but does not include the 3 that announced their upcoming closing or any that are just quietly leaving.
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.

Here's an update on the departures at WP. Some of these stores that closed were true blue poppers for months who gave it their all. I dare the brainwashed members to refute this conviction. ::: snip :::
Giga-thanks, Sherry. I deeply appreciate your updates Well, you know that the brainwashed ... er, the Buzz Feed of the Kool-Aid Stand will give it a mighty whirl. Quote:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 14 May 2007 16:41 Bolding my own. Right, buddy ole boy. I initially thought I'd give WP two years. Due to traffic and sales, I gave WP 8 months and in those 8 months saw next to nothing traffic and sales that barely went 10% over my PayPal and store/FVF fees. The only reason my store exists is to supplement spay/neuter funds for my non-profit organization, Pawprints and Purrs, Inc. that my husband and I own. For 8 months, I barely received enough profit directly from WP to neuter a single male cat - spaying a female is double the cost of neutering a male in my area. I didn't expect an eBay replacement or features to happen overnight. I worked every spare minute while holding down a full-time job outside the home, running an animal message board and a large web-site with all the daily tweaking that a large site entails, caring for my invalid mother, and keeping up with the day-to-day business of running a household. Furthermore, according to my raw data logs, most of my traffic came from visitors from my own web site, not via WP. Edited cuz I'm brain-DAID today.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Sherrand good info.
Lady where ya been? It has been a very long time OK everyone here knows how Ray pretends to have engineers, lawyers, mob enforcers, staff, etc... He won't pay a coder to fix the invoice issue. Common sense seems to have disappeared from the remaining loyalists. Think about it. How could Ray afford to pay any of these so called people with the number of stores still remaining? Compare this to Ecrater. The owner of the site has never claimed to have staff, has never hid the fact he is a one man show operating the site at home. People don't care about this, and he gets brownie points for not hiding the facts. He has coding experience. He doesn't post on the forum except with updates. He doesn't charge. The site is growing at a fast rate, soon to move into the third position on PSU once Yahoo closes up. He is going to implement the automated inventory control too. |
