Hey, did anyone notice the new store on page 1? http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/Automoti...Floor-Mats They must have actually figured out that POS bulk lister, because they came out of nowhere in just a couple of days. Wonder how many of those $45-$145 widgets they will sell ? And how long before they figure out the WP logic and run for the light? Any gamblers here? Winner must be closest to total sales, and store closing date. I'll throw $1 into the pot.
I Want, who could not help but notice this meteoric rise. Now here's a brand new registry, who had absolutely no problem setting up a store, has no questions about any of the quirks peculiar to WP or navigating their way through a new set-up. They have no problem conquering the pathetic excuse for a bulk lister either. Wanna hear my take on it? This is a friend/associate of KaRays met through eBay Motors and he/she/it answered all their questions and helped them launch their store. This new seller is probably listing on WP as a favour to KaRay to help bolster the flagging store count and the morale that is dipping right along side of it. I bet they aren't even paying a monthly fee in exchange. I'll have to create a new category for store description. I'll call it 'artificially inflated'. Each listing states, "Actual product may differ from image shown". WHAT IMAGE?? Each listing reads the same with colour and interior location the only change in distinguishing one listing from the next. Each listing is blah, boring and shows no sign of serious intent to sell. This is the act of a desperate man er... whatever.
I'd agree with that.... the way this seller jumped into the Auto Invoice thread, with the "I'm here for the long haul, this won't happen overnight, these sellers need patience, blah blah blah..." isn't the tone of a typical new seller. JoJo
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one suspicious of this store's existence. The typical new seller, if they opt to post, comment on "glad to be here and why", or " friendly and helpful members", and other complimentary words or expressions. This one shows up stating none of this other than thanks for the welcome and debut themselves by spouting off the long haul mantra. I'm waiting for the follow-up. It should be something to the tune of "build it and they will come".

Truth, The multiples that I saw are all just different colors. That's an easy way to bolster the listing count. Now that they're near the top of the poop pile, don't you think it will pi$$ off the store owners that have been in the top spots for months? Suddenly, the number one (or two) lister will be a newbie with ZERO feedback and no track record. I could see this easily back-firing, and dropping morale even lower. Of course, in the land of fruit flavored drinks, they will probably applaude his tireless dedication to listing ALL those items. Who knows ??
Yep I Want, same product, different colour. Indeed a great way to pump up the listing count when a single listing could mention availability in various colours. But the objective appears to be number of listings. Just more for 'potential' buyers to scroll through. With product not divided into categories (car make/years span etc) a buyer would have to rely on the search function to find what they are looking for. I shudder at the thought. Since you posted they've overtaken the number one spot. Probably a record for the most listings made under a twenty-four hour period. And now we wait... :popcorneaters:

Here's an update on the departures at WP. Some of these stores that closed were true blue poppers for months who gave it their all. I dare the brainwashed members to refute this conviction. Barbara's Best Boutique - 7 items, empty but not closed. New member this month. IMHO a ghost store and will be back.
This store was just closed. It's either the shortest opening in history or I was spot on - it was a ghost store caught in it's infancy.

Look at how many listings are priced the same and divide by how many colors they come in. For instance in the first 3 pages there are 64 listings with 3 different colors but if you check the supplier all those cars take the same floor mat and have the same part # just different colors. So what could be 3 listings turned into 64 for Ray's sake of listing fudge. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." P.S. I can buy comparable floor mats at my local Walmart for less then half the price. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hi everyone. Just checking in. My partner was out of town for the weekend so our delisting slowed, but now she is back on the move and my listings continue to drop. My once 2000+ store is now around 200. Won't be long now! If only I could get my yahoo items moved as fast as she is delisting, everything would be great!

Eyeswide great to hear from you! Gosh it must have been a double blow being hit by Yahoo pulling the plug with inventory spread there too. Where do you intend to concentrate your future exposure online? Keep us abreast of your progress and keep in mind there is a myriad of talent here on TT that you can call upon to assist you in moving forward if you ever feel the need for it.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I took a good look at the floor mats. As a former automobile accessory installer, this particular brand is very familiar to me.
This brand is particularly sought after by hunters and refinery workers. They are without a doubt some of the best, most durable floor mats available on the market. That being said, the same floor mats sell locally at certified dealers for an average of $69.95 - $79.95 plus tax (installed for anyone who would need it - most don't). Having ordered these regularly, cost is approximately $39.95 - $49.95 per set - shpping is usually free from certain distribution points. I'll buy them locally.
