Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Well, I guess I'm still associated through closed listings as well - I plugged into google: Spademan Mug Poodle and found this: http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/auction/view?cmd=view&listingID=182430
Thankfully my eCRATER listings showed up above it! And I guess I should be thankful the WP listing is closed... it's just the thought to be connected with such a rip-off site at all that's totally icky. I agree that it would have been nice to know this in advance so we could write little blurbs in the descriptions... |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
What cracks me up are the delusions of grandeur the Poppers seem to have. No matter what the numbers are, you just can't convince some of these people that WP wasn't, isn't, and will never be a substantial threat to eBay, Amazon or other small auction sites for that matter.
Why in the world do they think Google would be even remotely interested in WP? Just for review and some numbers based in reality: 3 month Alexa Rating: iOffer: 4,614 eCrater: 12,377 HiBidder: 55,150 Wagglepop: 137,495 Pretty sad when other sites that are FREE are faring much better with traffic. WP isn't even close to being a contender with these sites, let alone eBay, Amazon, Etsy, et al. Uh, yeah. I can definitely see Google making a beeline right for Ray's basement office to strike a deal. Hurry Google!

219 stores found, 66 of them (about 1/3) have LESS than 50 items. What? They aren't participating in the listing contest? Any guesses on how many of these stores are legit?

Hi All.
So surprised to not see PS or User come visit us. Did we say something to offend?? eCrater store is going strong. So happy I got out of WP when I did. Nothing but carp spilling out from that site now. Hope everyone is doing well! Still around and lurking ~Patti~ |

Sorry, for the hijack, but I'd like some of you tech smarties out there to look at this and give me your honest, unbiased, educated opinion. www.1buttontowifi.tv/ver1/index.asp |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hey DB,
That is an interesting thing. Sorry but not tech savvy but it looked kind of neat. The only thing I have heard about phone services like that is they do not have connection to 911. So if there was an emergency and you needed to dial 911 those cannot help. I may be wrong about that one as I haven't read the whole thing but there is a phone service locally along the same lines and that is one of the problems. With children in my house it is something I always keep in my head! |

From the same "WP & Google merger" thread by vas:

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hello everyone...
Since I figured I had probably hit the radar screen by now, I figured I better come and see what everyone was saying about me. (I know, I know .curiosity killed the cat .but it seems I also heard something about the cat having nine lives, so I thought I might be able to spare just one). Thank you for the compliments and warm welcome (although I must admit I was a bit surprised). I wanted to let you know I do appreciate the kind things some of you said about me. =) Since bashing just isn't me I won't be staying long, but thought I'd stop in to share my side of things. I do not drink kool-aid and never will (never did like it, even as a child). I dont just blindly follow anyone, but rather prefer to think for myself and follow the Lord. I have come to my own conclusions and have decided it is now time for me to move on. I know many of you were probably thinking its about time. But I try to follow the Lord in all I do and believe He has a purpose for all things in my life. While it was very hard for me to delete all of my work at WP (just when I was finally getting things the way I liked), I know it was time for me to do so. However, I do not regret my time spent there. I have learned so much from being at WP and also enjoyed being a part of the community with other great sellers. It also became apparent to me the other day as to why the Lord did not have me leave WP any sooner (Gods timing is always for a reason). We have a buyer for most, if not all, of our Electric Football inventory (what was listed and much more that was not listed). This buyer was one of our main competitors at eBay when we had a store there. He saw my statement on our eBay ME page about closing out inventory, came and looked at our WP store, and then emailed us asking about our entire Electric Football inventory. I just shipped out a VERY large purchase to him today and am still working with him on the rest of it, as it was too much to put all together. God doesnt always show us His purpose for everything in our lives, but when He occasionally gives us a glimpse, it is wonderful to see. =) Anyway, sorry to ramble on so much. As many of you now know, I have decided to specialize and open up 5 separate stores. (No, its not a typo, I just couldnt resist opening one more.) Cost and time are factors for me, which is why I never did this before. But with ecrater being free and simple, I decided now is the time to give it a shot. Only time will tell what the future holds, so I will continue to follow where the Lord leads me, as it is all in His control. Thanks again to all who welcomed me here. Although I wont be staying, maybe I will see some of you around elsewhere (you are all welcome to come and shop at my stores too). As I said, Ive never liked kool-aid, however I am known to like lemonade quite a bit. Not the kool-aid mix kinds, but the real stuff made from lemons. =) I couldnt quite get all of my listings closed before I went into my next month of fees so I plan to leave my WP store open until around the 20th of July. Since I have nothing left to sell there, I decided to use this months $9.95 to let anyone looking for me know where I went. Now I need to get to work on all of those new stores! Now that I am finished tearing down, I can get back to rebuilding. Have a great day Nikki =) BTW In high school, I was a cheerleader (for football) and was also on the team (girls basketball). I do have a tendency to whole-heartedly rally for and support the things I become involved in. Look out ecrater! LOL!! =) |
