I wasn't talking about lack of feedback. I was referring to the WP flunkies' lack of sales and blaming the site rather than learning how to sell smarter. And no, changing venues is not selling smarter. Adding venues while improving your selling skills overall would have been smarter.
Bolding is mine. The fact is, not everyone left because they were not making sales, so stop ASSuming. I actually made a profit every month after say the first 3 months. I constantly sold to SELLERS on WP. I was KICKED OFF, as I never agreed with WP & it's sellers concept of "ebay infiltrators". I questioned, even super nicely, the FACT that they made all kinds of promises that never came through. So, once again, you are full of shi*
WP buyers rarely ever leave feedback. None of you have a clue how many floor mats flashlights and other items he has sold. I do. Not one other person here does. As usual you are posting with zero knowledge of the facts.
Bolding Red Mine. So, once again you backpeddle. One minute you say I DO, then you babble again about feedback. Even if it was a 9 to 1 ratio on feedback, let's ASSume he has made 10 sales and only received one feedback, that still is awful stats for a store stocking over 10,000 items. And 12,000 views in one months time is Sh*t on a site were everyone is paying $9.95 to be a community were you would think there should be some traffic!! Yeah, We the People!! But the fact remains, we bother you! It is so nice for you to come here as it just proves how much truth there really is in ALL the things people post here. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:Not to mention the many times that sales have been ASSumed here based on sellers' feedback. There's nothing to ASSume about Wagglepop having very few sales or buyers since Wagglepop published its own sales figures. At its peak it had around 9000 items sold monthly...that's items not orders. That is crap, especially when you consider those 9000 sales were spread among many sellers and a large percentage of WP sellers have low ASPs under $25 (many of them have ASPs under $10) Quote:Even if it was a 9 to 1 ratio on feedback, let's ASSume he has made 10 sales and only received one feedback, that still is awful stats for a store stocking over 10,000 items. Even if he had made 100 or 200 or 300 total sales over the past 3 months it would still suck for a store with 10,000 plus items. Quote:If the same average holds true for all of his listings, then he is getting approximately 12,903 item views in each 30 day period for his mere $9.95/month. That's crap...especially for a store with that many items. Quote:Adding venues while improving your selling skills overall would have been smarter. That would depend on the venues you added. If you added a venue like Amazon which has buyers it would be smarter. If you added a venue like HiBidder (or 90% of the phpProBid/RScript sites out there) whose monthly total site GMV (according to the stats HB used to show) is barely enough to qualify for silver powerseller status on eBay it wouldn't be smarter...it would be a complete waste of time if your goal was sales...especially since sales on many smaller sites are contingent on you playing the seller-to-seller sales game.

I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes.
User did you ever think it's the other way around. That the majority of us new what we were doing by getting out of there and it's the clueless ones who have stayed.

I went to floormat guys store and looked at the first 15 items which only had 38 mins left at the time. In the 10 days that the listings have been up 9 of the items had 1 hit and 6 of them had 2 hits. Those are the only ones I looked at but I'm sure the # hits is probably simular on the rest of the items as well. Also if I'm not mistaken I was the one hit on the 9 of the items.
Good. So let's look at those numbers. 40% of his items were viewed within that 10 day cycle. If the same average holds true for all of his listings, then he is getting approximately 12,903 item views in each 30 day period for his mere $9.95/month. Not to mention that his store is very new and just starting to get set up. Consider how much better he'll be able to do when more of the work on his store is complete.
User what kind of math are you using? Oh you must be using Wagglemath. Like I said 9 of the 15 items I was the 1 hit. So if we go by the way you are figuring the #'s and the same holds true for the rest of his items then really more than 50% of his items would have ended without a hit. 12,903 keep dreaming. User I'd like to see you answer DB's questions but I doubt you will just like you wouldn't answer the questions I asked the other day. Didn't you have any answers for the questions I asked the other day? |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I noticed User didn't bother to post any answers to anything since I have been away. Not shocking!
I do enjoy when User391 comes on as they do make themselves look REALLY DUMB. The fact that there are over 100 stores on WP, and they are ASSuming car mats guy got 12,000 hits in one month as good for $9.95 is ludicrous. I, who only sells one particular product, and competitive market to boot, had over 40,000 hits, more than 50 unique visitors daily just in 20 days in July. My stats didn't start till about the 10th. I don't have 10,000 items listed. All you are paying for is expensive hosting, period. Keep it coming User391, as you do nothing but spout stupid information that anyone with a real sense of building a business would look at and laugh. We know you just hate the truth and have a personal grudge against DB, which is your main reason for coming. But, she could do or say anything and she will always have more sense and class than you. |
