Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
That is so funny...
Out of over 4,000 stores opened, almost 80% were deadbeats? That is blatant slander to me. I can't be trusted? Over 200 sales on his rinky-dink site, 100% feedback, payed my bill on time every month, and I couldn't be trusted... I was screwed into closing by this jerk! I asked for my store to be closed, and Ray waited FAR longer than 24 hours (over 3 days) to respond until after my next billing cycle started. I refused to pay for a store I requested to be closed, and boom... suspended. I wonder how many others really were closed for "non-payment," and how many can be chalked up to Ray's God complex within his cult. $30 re-activation fee? For what, to rejoin a dying site that has the same or less features as 90% of the auction sites online today? Then, I could get the privilege of paying $10 a month to list on a soon-to-be empty auction site? A site that Firefox shows an SSL warning for an invalid security certificate? And even better, this SSL error is being transferred to a GoDaddy shared server? I could join Ewaey for free if I wanted all that! To all "long term" Poppers, Was the Pizza good? Oh, wait, that wasn't pizza he fed you... It was his load of crap he has fed you for the last 2 years.
"Listen up Mother****er. Try that bulls*** here and I will hand you and your head in a basket"
- Ray Romeo's alter ego Andrew Pittino responding when I signed up a new account on Wagglepop to verify the non-existence of a way to opt out of his sharing my information with third parties. |

Quote:"A "100% trust-based" enviroment I never understood this phrase. What is so different about WP from other sites? I don't prepay at eBay. Any given day, my outstanding balance ranges from $0 to well over $1000. I guess that means eBay is 100% trust-based, too. Gee... I feel so warm and fuzzy all over now. Seriously, what are they friggin trusting sellers with? The only thing I can come up with is that they don't store a credit card. Of COURSE not! So, I'm thinking he either can't get a merchant account or he knows damn well all the chargebacks he'd face. Yep, definitely much easier to say... I know! We'll call it trust-based! Quote:"A "100% trust-based" enviroment Quote:I never understood this phrase. This is simply Waggle-speak meaning "we don't have your credit card number, but we would if we could -- the only reason we don't is because we did that on the WP1 fiasco. But because we have such piss-poor security on our site, without much trouble at all our data based was hacked right after we launched and our members' credit card numbers and all other personal information was compromised. We shut down the site, but it wasn't soon enough to prevent some of our members suffering from having their credit card numbers circulated among thieves. Oh, and even though we claim to have destroyed the data base containing members' CC numbers and personal info, we miraculously remembered all their email addresses so we could spam them for the opening of WPII." |

He only gave them 45 hours. 20 stores closed since this morning. 112 open 827 closed [/quote] Sniped by Mandy. And now for a walk down memory lane: Oct. 16 2007 Quote:As we announced earlier this month, expect the Stores counts to fluctuate downward a bit as we begin the process account-by-account reviews to determine which accounts are in good standing vs. accounts to be referred to collection. Now with only 112 stores, it appears that number of sellers who failed to understanding the amazing "opportunity" of your SmartSell Pro environment are curiously close to the same number "deliquent" in their accounts over the past 15 months. Guess we all missed The SmartSell Pro "opportunity" by continuing to pay a minimum of $10/mo. for no return -- Fools that we are. Edit: Another one who didn't recognize the "opportunity" -- store count at 111. Should we call WP a "sub-prime" auction site? Let's call for a Congressional economic stimulus package. 2nd Edit: Incidentally, I also noticed today that our favorite seller just re-enlisted in a SHOWCASE store at $50/mo. although she only shows evidence of one sale ($19) since November 28, 2007 -- that's what I call really taking advantage of the WP "opportunity." |

Quote:store count at 111 All Wagglepop sellers have stores. Many sellers have more than one store. Therefore the total number of Wagglepop sellers is under 100...VIVA LA REVOLUTION!
