Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
WP's AdSmart= the $99 RevSense but I believe the new Category Flagship Banner Advertising system equals RScript's built-in banner exchange system.
The admin features: RScript Wrote:Banner exchange manager RScript's banner manager allows adverts to be targeted to a specific zone (category or subcategory) FYI- Ray is also making extra cash by running Commission Junction affiliate adverts in the "Category Flagship' space in addition to the flagship advertising he is selling members (a GoDaddy affiliate advert was being shown when I browsed the antiques>classical category and adverts for VistaPrint, Omnis Webhosting and other CJ merchants were being rotated in other categories) - qksz.net in the code below is CJ's ad server Aren't these CJ adverts for offsite merchants the very sort of advert that eBay users have objected so strongly to? Code: <tr> The new flagship help pages are here: http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/Help?cmd=view&pages=category_flagship . Ray is asking a minimum of $88.50 per month to advertise in the new program. :blinkie: Quote:Advertising Rate Card FYI2- Quantcast has replaced Alexa in Ray's sales pitch to members FYI3- if you still needed proof Ray is dishonest the advert rate card should be all the proof you need -an honest site owner would state the views each category ad is likely to receive -which is likely under 1,000 monthly for most categories- not the total site visitors. |

The new flagship help pages are here: http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/Help?cmd=view&pages=category_flagship . [/quote] What a great spin doctor! Ray strenuously encourages all members to spam the heck out of every forum, blog, and ezine online to boost the numbers on Quantcast. Look a little closer at Quantcast, and you'll see that 66% of the visits (84% of the total visitors) come once, and never again. These likely visit a seller's store, a listing through Google, or the homepage, none of which show any ads. The numbers have miraculously doubled since right before Christmas, when the spamathon really began. Since the eBay announcement, an extra 10,000 or so unique visits, but those only produced about 200 regulars (stores) for the site. Then to make it worse, he will be charging in future months for the previous month's unique visitors? Either he will be proven a fraud when the uniques are below 5,000, or he will be blasting link exchanges to death to make up the numbers. Just because you say "Quantcast" estimates your traffic to be up to 70,000 (which is still a lie... it's barely 67,000) doesn't mean you are off the hook to produce, in good faith, very close to those numbers. I really am dying to see what Ray will do with the extra money now, because we know his core cheerleaders will hand it over. Maybe a new set of tires for his eBay car? Maybe more fee money to start selling on eBay again?
"Listen up Mother****er. Try that bulls*** here and I will hand you and your head in a basket"

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I can't frickin' believe it. Well, actually I can, but wish I didn't.
Think about what Ray is asking his sellers listers to do: Daily Activities: 1. Write spamming articles and submit them everywhere 2. Spread the word gospel by contacting all news media 3. Spam friends, family, customers, barber, mailman, undertaker and neighborhood child molester -- don't foget the Mafia "don" and your parole officer 4. Use Social Bookmarking for spamming 5. Join Groups and Forums and spam your brains out. Slip messages in fortune cookies. Get your kids in on the "Waggle Youth" movement. SO much for the labor-intensive, non-paid, volunteer, goose-stepping work. And, should you find time around 3 a.m., after spending your day spamming, why not list a few thousand items using WP's cumbersome, ineffective Bulk Lister? And now for the money in Ray's pocket part. Monthly Activities: 1. Pay your store subscription like a good little soldier. Don't be a day late, or you'll "hit the bricks" (Ray's famous words) 2. Preferably upgrade your store subscription to Showcase and Featured for more $$ in Ray's fuzzy slipper fund. 3. Subscribe to the dopey Flagship Banner program at $88.50/mo. for even more $$$ in Ray's fuzzy slipper fund. And what does Ray give sellers in return? NADA!!!!!!!!!!!! Except a closed board, extreme censorship, blame and guilt, no buyers, and a liberal supply of Kool-aid-tainted smoke and mirrors. Wake up Poopers! Ray would like you to hand over $158.50/mo. (call it tithing) that you don't have and can't make because you're spending so much time spamming on his site's behalf for free!! And that's just for one store! Should you have 2 or 3 stores, you could spend up to $475.50/mo. And for a site that has little inventory, no buyers and piss-poor unique page views. And, lest y'all forget: WE ON THIS BOARD ARE THE ONES WITHOUT BUSINESS SENSE (insert sarcasm) As a sidebar: I think the grandiose AdSense-modified campaign now known as Category Flagship Banners is simply a technique to grab $$$ since the store count isn't rising like Ray hoped it would. Remember when AdSense rolled out? Just about the time the store count started going in the toilet after the big 2006 summer push. And yes, Sherrand. AndRay/KayRay/Ray are one in the same -- kind of like the "holy trinity". Edit: Quote:Category Flagship banners are singular and exclusive and I anticipate a marked increase in traffic (and likely sales) for merchants who use them as part of a solid marketing plan both inside and outside of Wagglepop Now, doesn't that sound familiar? Remember the lack-luster "fasten your seatbelts" marketing blitz at the "Grand (re)Opening" in March? |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:\The banners currently being tested are what we call "non comp, non pop" banners, which by internal terminology means "non compete" and/or "non populated" banner advertisements defined further as products and services that are not offered on Wagglepop either by definition (such as for web hosting or credit services) in the case of non compete or by population, such as items and products still not listed on Wagglepop after 20+ months(bolding mine) Translation: We'll gladly take anybody's money for a "non comp, no pop" banner as long as it doesn't advertise an auto floor mat. Since WP offers precious little else in listings, the rest of the product/service universe is fair game. Question, then. Should a seller happen to list a product that is already being advertised in a paid banner, does anyone really, honestly think Ray would take the banner ad off his site? |

Holy Crap! I had not visited the Wagglepop place in awhile. I can not believe what is going on over there. Those goofs are truly brainwashed.
It looks like Ray needs more money for something. I've been busy listing and selling like crazy on Amazon. I LOVE it over there! You get to sell your wares for SANE prices that actually make you a profit. Two or three sales cover my cost for the store for the month. Nice to read you again Sherrand. WAGGLEPOP Nation! LOL |
