Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I firmly believe that KaAndRay is trying to balloon the fees for a couple months, hoping to squeeze a little more cash out while they work on their dropship Inventory Direct spreadsheets. Then, after uploading 500,000 items for sale, Ray will be able to sell the site to an unsuspecting owner who really believes that all 500,000 items really belong to 50 different sellers. This new unsuspecting owner will also believe that 15,000 members will be coming with the site, but not know that over 5,000 are "deadbeats" and the rest were buyers who never visited again. This new unsuspecting owner will buy a site with 15,000 members, 500,000 listings, for six hard earned figures, and reality will hit when KaAndRay pull the plug on 490,000 of those listings, and 25 of the stores, leaving only 20 thrift store junk sellers and baby clothes from PS.
Then, Ray will have pulled off the ultimate scam. He first scammed buyers into believing he was a real eBay Powerseller, although he only was for a couple months in 2004 selling magazine cutouts with less than 2,000 feedback. Next, he brought the masses to the site, only to ban them for asking questions, forevermore labeling them as deadbeats for not paying a bill for services never rendered. Next, he lies, manipulates, preaches, and rants about his gospel to his few cultists for 2 years, essentially making them believe that the only place to buy or sell is on WP, and all proceeds should go back through the hands of Ray Romeo through pity purchases. Last, the sale. It will happen, oh yes, it will happen. And when it does, I will be happy to know that I got out early.
"Listen up Mother****er. Try that bulls*** here and I will hand you and your head in a basket"

It wouldn't be the first time a site used thousands of dropshipped items to try to con a potential buyer or potential sellers. Bid-alot's owner did it last year before he put the site on the block (and is still trying to do it). I'm fairly sure that Auctionquests did it and was successful with their con. The site's listing count had a short lived runup to 100,000 about the same time AQ Ray had the site up for sale and then the count fell off sharply shortly afterwards. Other sites do it to try to con sellers into joining by making the site appear larger than it really is. HiBidder is a prime example...take away the top 3 or 4 sellers and the dropshipped perfume and you're left with a listing count under 10,000. The listing count on WeBidz recently doubled to 69,000. It took me 2 seconds this morning to find the source of 15,000 of those new 34,000 listings. WP (or I should say, a WP cheerleader) of course has done it the past year with those 19,000 floor mats.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:Received a PM from someone with really really negative Karma letting me know the 'truth' about WP. I'm quite curious on the content of your PM. Care to share? I, for one, would love to hear the "truth" about WP.
I am not comfortable posting a PM but will say they wanted to assure me TT had it all wrong and also that there are 3 people with Customer Care. as far as my experience I can say: I have never thought anyonecould fully understand what AP posted because it truly made no sense in some cases and just took the reader on an endless loop until your brain wandered to more pleasant thoughts while your eyes kept reading and re-reading trying to break it all down to its hidden meaning. My feeling is if youre going to run a site you need to be to the point and in basic everyday English. I have no patience with rhetoric. I also think if you mess up than you need to own up and not keep repeating your mistakes. It seemed that anyone that asked viable questions got zapped off the board and directed to read the infamous board policy thread that seemed to be updated daily. You got the feeling it was a just pay and shut up establishment. Also the search engine needs to be functional. (I dont know how many members need to reiterate this over and over again for it to be understood by WP) When I 1st joined I didnt have time to pay attention to what was going on. I wonder how many sellers over there are too busy to read the boards and know what is going on. You also have to question a site that doesnt want you to shop on their site if youre not selling anymore. The up side to my experience is that is has pushed the thought that I should learn how to do my own web store. Thanks for the good Karma. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I pulled these two post (one is a partial post) from the psu thread about WP. These two people really seem to get the idea behind the mind of Ray. {{{scary }}}
This is what I was thinking myself... but didn't word it well in my previous post. Quote:It is not so much a case of WP being more "selective" in regards to sellers but it is the sellers who are selective in regards to WP. Simply put, they do not select WP. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Quote:It is not so much a case of WP being more "selective" in regards to sellers but it is the sellers who are selective in regards to WP. Simply put, they do not select WP. And regarding above quote: Whoa, there! Full Stop!! Read that again!!! Ken just hit a very elusive nail dead on the head. There was one bit of doublespeak that eluded translation for me. I puzzled and puzzed 'till my puzzler was sore, but I saw no sense in it, no reason behind it, no purpose in the 'spin'. WagglePop Announcement wrote (View Post): There may even be a short period where we will not accept new sellers into the Marketplace. (This is the part that peaked my interest) But now, thanks to Ken, I see the advance preparation for the spin on the future fallout. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ edited to say:Â I hope they don't mind me posting their thoughts here... |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Well, before the tomatoes start flying, I will say that I am a lying, conniving, miscreant, jealous, evil former popper who has no life and is so bored that all I have to do is trash talk Ray and his groupies.
Now that I have introduced myself properly to our new posters, let me say I wish I could stop celebrating, but every former-popper that sees the light and steps away from the makes me feel that everything we have all been through is worthwhile. It's been a long (as you can tell by the length of this thread alone) and painful experience. That being said.......... Ray, you boinktard, how have you been? Now that you wanna suck the poor sellers for more money, you wanna close the marketplace? Duh, the only people it's open for now is sellers....potential buyers (if there were any) don't wanna go through the stupid registration bullshit. Oh, and, I still haven't heard from your collection agency. You've got my address from my registration information two years ago...nothing's changed...except for the fact that since I left you my spam folder is basically empty now. you are the master
I hate stupid people!

DB - Ray made that comment about not accepting new sellers as some type of forethought that he can use in the future. I'm not quite sure what he's got up his sleeve but if I had to guess, I would think it would have something to do with blaming the sellers for not stepping up and filling their shelves. He is planning something... no one would keep sellers from joining a "selling" site. It's almost like he's trying to get it to fail to make it look like it was the sellers fault. I know I'm doing a lousy job of explaining what I mean, but I hope you see where I'm going with this. There was mention made of this same thing over on the PSU board (link in previous post)... this post was worded better than mine but it's the same idea.
In other words: EXIT STRATEGY An exit strategy is a means of escaping one's current situation, typically an unfavourable situation. An organization or individual without an exit strategy may be in a quagmire. At worst, an exit strategy will save face; at best, an exit strategy will peg a withdrawal to the achievement of an objective worth more than the cost of continued involvement. Ray wants to rewrite his history and alter his present state of affairs. The exit strategy is to blame the sellers for the site's failure and at the same time attempt to sell the site for a profit, and saving face for yet a second failed attempt. He is censoring those boards to give the public perception of nothing but bliss for potential buyers he hopes to aquire to purchase WP. Platzki I understood every word you said. :blinkie: |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Some of those poppers really need to get out more. I just shake my head in wonderment when they say that they have nowhere else to go. There are so many sites out there that will put up your wares and it won't cost you $30/month. Sites that have real sales and real customer service (not sock puppets)
Are they so brainwashed thinking that WP is the only game in town besides fleabay? The fleabay ship might be sinking, but the WP ship is sinking faster. Exit strategy is now in place, so there is nowhere to go but down. PS and Floormatguy aka Ray aka Andrew, aka Karen, aka Chris... etc are the only ones that are making any money on WP. What a scam. Ray should be ashamed of himself for having no moral compass, but it's the poppers fault for not keeping on top of things and being so koolaid drunk that they can or will not see what is going on around them. Karma is a wonderful thing Ray, and it will come back and bite you in the ass every time. |

Fine!! Good to see you... and I couldn't have said it better myself! Like my siggy says... "It's OK... I'm with the banned!" I too am a lying miscreant and I wouldn't have it any other way!! Â
Nana girl... you are the only one who understands me... Been there... I too have to question the intelligence of a person that thinks that WP is the only alternative to eBay (if it even qualifies)... it's like saying that Kmart is the only alternative to Target. What about Wal-mart and costco and Sam's club and Ames and all the others?? Silly poopers... Now this is the part of the thread where we dance....... :cinqo1: :cinqo1: :cinqo2: :cinqo2: |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Is the fee increase posted anywhere other than the WP forums area?
If not, I wonder how many poppers who don't read the WP forums are going to get a nasty surprise come June.
Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly

The home page hasn't changed one iota -- there's still the big box promo for the $9.95 Smart Sell package. Apart from the Poppers who don't read forums, imagine how pissed any new sellers registering for the package this month will feel when they receive an invoice for a 300% increase next month? Does anybody know if any aknowledgment of the rate increase is at all part of the disclosures in new seller registration? |
