Showcase Stores- 16 * 49.95 = 799.20
Featured Stores- 35 * 19.95 = 698.25
Basic Stores- 609 * 9.95= 6059.55

Grand Total- $7557.00

Ray operating WP solely and working PT is making an average of $63.00 an hour /$3778.50 every 2 weeks

How much are the sellers making? The sellers list, market, list more, market more, photograph, describe, store their items, and more. How much have they made in profit?

The only person who is guaranteed a lucrative holiday season is Ray, a guy who hasn't even broken a sweat in doing anything to build up WP. A guy whose only labor has been the tedious task of deleting posts, closing accounts, and intercepting private messages from members on his hit list.

chiquita, lets not forget that he may be sweating a little now since the store count is on a downward trend. He's probably a little concerned that he may have trouble paying his bills if the count continues to drop.

He should have to sell his new car, and give refunds to all the sellers for all the lies he told, and for all the time they invested in their stores. I think he is still paying his bills just fine, but what about the sellers?

Princess this is the only math any of the sellers should be looking at and listening to. Not Ray's mumbo jumbo rambling BS math.
Now young lady go get your listings and yourself out of that place. I have an ecrater store and will help you with starting your own.
There are folks on ecrater who design the storefronts for sellers including the store logo. Go check this seller out

I did check out ecrater with my books but opted for another site, then moved 'em all back to eBay and surprise ! they are finally selling.  Ecrater won't work for me - not yet.  I'm still so new to logo and templates, and I'm working on learning HTML.

Am I silly for holding out hope?  My biggest and really only competition is in the process of leaving WP, that would get at least more lookers to my items...

I agree he needs to refund the sellers money. But we know that will never happen. That's why we are doing a good thing by showing people what is going on in Pop Land.

I have a few friends that sell on ecrater and they are actually making money unlike most of the sellers at Pop Land. There may be a few at Pop Land that are making money, maybe. Since we can't check completed listings, who knows for sure if they are telling the truth.  Icon_scratch

Princess lookers don't lead to buyers. The site is not buyer friendly. The search feature is terrible. Not being able to pay immediately a big no no. Even if your competition leaves, it won't matter. Use ebay as a customer aquisition tool, and lead people to your items that are listed on venues that are free. Do your homework, visit their boards, ask questions, check to see if the sales are seller to seller only. Eventually in order to stay competitive online you will need your own website. The auction format is dead, the novelty of it has worn off.

Most important of all princess is to remember who owns, operates, and controls WP. A con man, who is only interested in his bottom line and could care less about you or anyone else on the site. If you are comfortable doing business with an unethical person than by all means stay with WP.

If you're selling books you should try Amazon Marketplace.  You'll get more sales than eBay and the average selling prices are higher.  Abebooks and Alibris are also good.  Biblio and Valore are other book sites.  www.Chrislands.com offers stores (websites) for booksellers--the monthly rates are low but they have a high setup fee ($199),  This is a demo Chrislands store:

Angryfire Tell me about how courteous and comfortable it is to pull a seller's post 3 TIMES simply because she would like to say farewell to their comrades.>>>

Hi Everyone,

I'm the person they pull 3 times. I did get it in on another thread. Don't know if it still there as they had ban me from the site now.

Karen is trying to bill me saying I need to pay to close my store. I email her and asked what store? What account? In fact when I sign in it tells me I can't sell, buy, or post there. I have no account! And if I do pay then I need the store open till the 28th of December 2006, allow to post and buy. Or I will report WP for taken my money and not allowing me to do any of these things. Now she got to check with her boss. Like I care...NOT!

They want to hide the facts from what sellers they have there now.

There was not a thing wrong with my post, just truth 5 stores closing at that time in 1 day. What was the big deal pulling that and me saying bye?

They hide no sales (like sellers don't know that), same items listing over and over at the same time, counts going up on listing but yet all these stores pulled listing, fact is Karen is no good at math, she thinks it good to have 15 stores close in one day and have 10 open? from my math that is 5 stores lost an day, guess I did not take the same math as her. She needs to learn how to talk to people. What was Ray thinking when he gave her the job? How she ever got that job?

I want to thank the people that copy my post from wp to here. OK Karen you can't pull it now. I wait your reply. I'm here, lets hear your reason for pulling it? What ground you got? Lets see I was a member at that time, my bill paid up todate, was not pointed to anyone. Were that list of rules that you have and only works when you want it to? Share it now. Sure there is some wp sellers here that like to know your little rules and reasons for that matter!

Peggy<-----That is not lost without wp after all

Smileywelcome wildcat

Glad you joined us. Ray will pull any post that he feels would open the eyes of the other sellers. He censors everything. He even intercepts, reads, responds, and deletes private messages. Who do you know that operates a "real" business would violate their consumers privacy?

Karen is Ray. Ray is a control freak and wouldn't share his board or site with anyone. Why do you think Karen is always there posting and deleting so quickly, even on holidays? He is a one pony show.  :twistedevil:
