Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I just got home from work and am playing catch up here on this thread as to the goings on over at Pop Land. And I can honestly say I am shocked at what I'm reading.

How many times are they going to blame the number of store closings on 'reviewing' seller's accounts? When I was a member there, I remember Karen saying when they got done doing 'housekeeping' and got rid of the delinquent accounts, the number would level off at 700 stores. Seems to me Karen missed that number by quite a lot, and is doing 'housekeeping' again to account for the mass exodus that seems to be happening.

Manually updating the home page with the correct number of listings???  :wtf:

And who is Karen trying to impress with using the word malfeasance?

Wake Up Poppers! Open your eyes and look at what is going on at Pop Land.

I just passed through wp and saw the 30 stores gone but wonder if the listings went too or did they keep them.  Afterall, I don't know who left but those last pages of 1 or 2 listings of stores are still there.  30 Stores are alot of stores to lose if they had many listings which they may have. Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:We are reviewing each account status for delinquency or patterns of delinquency, validity of contact information, and evidence of registration or site activity malfeasance, if any. If necessary we use the cooperation of ISPs and IP proxy tools to determine the exact location of offenders.

Those accounts which do not pass the basic points for participation above will be either suspended or terminated with outstanding balances sent for collection.

Those with evidence of impropriety that we already have tracked or find anew (identity theft, fraud, interference, IP proxy misuse) that may have legal implications will be referred to legal for investigation and if necessary contact with the proper jurisdictions for prosecution.

Maybe Ray should post this on the WP home page and see how many people would be willing to register on the site.
IP proxy tools cooperation to give out the exact location of offenders is the most insane statement I have seen. What does Ray think is the purpose of an anonymous proxy service? To give up the folks who use it?  :blinkie:

So lets see with WP1 Ray touted he had Wagglepop law enforcement
Fast forward to WP2 Ray now claims to have a Wagglepop legal department

All this for a small site operated by one guy using a 500.00 boxed software auction program.

Hurry someone report Ray for identity theft, I think he stole Karen's personality and her wig.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I was just listening to music while working, and I know you guys like to do some variations on song lyrics, as an "ode to the truth behind Wagglepop."

I thought this was rather uncanny. Aside from the fact that the song applies to just about every dead-end job or life position where you feel you've gotten into a rut that can't change, it seems it also applies to Wagglepop.

Uncannily so. I have not changed the lyrics. Just practiced my typing from dictation to jot them down while listening:

Quote:I believe I can see the future,
'cause I repeat the same routine.
I think I used to have a purpose,
but then again, it might have been a dream.

I think I used to have a voice.
Now I never make a sound.
I just do what I've been told.
I really don't want them to come around, oh no.

Every day is exactly the same.
Every day is exactly the same.
There is no love here,
And there is no pain.
Every day is exactly the same.

I can feel their eyes are watching,
in case I lose myself again.
Sometimes I think I'm happy here...
Sometimes, yet--
I still pretend.
I can't remember how this got started.
Oh, but I can tell you exactly how it will end.

Every day is exactly the same.
Every day is exactly the same.
There is no love here,
and there is no pain.
Every day is exactly the same.

I'm writing on a little piece of paper,
I'm hoping someday you might find.
Well, I'll hide it behind something
they won't look behind.

I am still inside here.
A little bit comes bleeding through.
I wish this could have been any other way,
But I just don't know--I don't know
what else I can do!

Every day is exactly the same.
Every day is exactly the same.
There is no love here,
and there is no pain.
Every day is exactly the same.

Every day is the same.
