I did all my listings over the weekend... my fingers are bloody stumps.

I love blujay's easy listing but they don't have meta tags (impressed that I know that? tee hee hee) and eCrater has no html and they crop all pix so some of my pix are really bad.  I just don't have time to go back thru and fix them all... grrrrr.....

I am looking into my own store.  So far I've checked out PrestoStore but their system is confusing and complicated (they let you have a trial run for 10 days)... and Netfirms seems good but I can't go in and mess with it first AND they don't submit for you...  any other suggestions?  I'm willing to pay as I want my own site that I own!!!

I was ready to make the jump to my own website, but I just don't know enough now.  If I can learn from the two I am on, it is my ultimate goal to open my own site.

Considering the blatant censorship of the WP forum, not to mention rules beyond excessive, how do the WP members who frequently and without hesitation violate so many other sites TOS to their hearts content justify this behavior?

It's called "selective ignorance"... they ignore the rules when the rules don't suit them...

Probably a really stupid question here, but why doesn't eBay (it being the largest) have some sort of software that would detect links and mentions of other sites?

Ebay's mantra has always been to allow the community to police itself. That has worked well, NOT.

Hypocrisy? 
Personally, I think their methods of spamming advertising are childish and reek of unprofessionalism.  As I buyer, I always check feedback left too and I would never make a purchase from someone who left feedback like that.

On a more pleasant note, I'm redoing my Driftwood site (installed the latest version of Zen Cart last night) and as soon as it's done, I'm going to add a links page and put all of y'all on it.

I always check a seller's feedback before I buy or bid on something. If I came across something like this in a seller's feedback, I would click the back button and NOT buy from that seller. If I had bought something from someone and received feedback like that, I would post a response to it letting the seller know I don't appreciate feedback like that.

If I checked a seller's Me page and saw a link to another store the seller had at another venue, I would click the back button on that too. That is just wrong and eventually that seller will get caught 

I guess this seller has found a new way to spam advertise for their store on Pop Land since the owner of Pop Land won't advertise for them.

This seller shows that breaking the rules is ok for him as long as it is spamming advertising for their Pop Land Store. I wonder how many other sellers have adapted this practice

This stuff has been going on as long as I can remember. I even brought some mention of the feedback spamming and ME page spamming to the WP boards when I was there. Poppers back in July were blatantly encouraging others, and challenging each other on coming up with new and inventive ways to spam. It was all over the boards. They bragged about how far they could go with eBay without getting caught, and how they were "sticking it" to eBay. When one did get caught, he/she wore the NARU like it was a badge of courage. Again, this practice is right in line with one of the tenants of the cult philosophy, as I outlined many, many pages ago: it's OK to break others' rules, because it is for the "good of the cause." When it comes to cult practice, the ends always justify the means.
