Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Well, well, well, they started the beta test immediately.
If I were a buyer from another country, I would find it so off-putting, that I wouldn't even bother. International buyers are savvy and I don't think they are going to do any type of transaction where they are discriminated against. I don't think any other auction site would turn away international sales. I know they are dynamically trying not to be eBay, but look who is successful. The top auction sites on PSU allow buyers AND sellers from many countries.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
One thing regarding the small auction venues that is sorely lacking is transparency of leadership/ownership. WP is in the lead in terms of outright secrecy, but they all could use improvement on everything from contact information, including having a toll free phone number and an actual street address vs. a PO Box.
Here is one site I came across called Dubli and is the first one I have seen where their management team information is very well presented. Here is a link http://my.dubli.com/management.cfm When you are considering any venue if you think of it in terms of a job interview where the site needs to provide their experience/education and references and if there is a failure to disclose very relevant information that should be the time you hit the back button and keep looking. |

Quote:When you are considering any venue if you think of it in terms of a job interview where the site needs to provide their experience/education and references and if there is a failure to disclose very relevant information that should be the time you hit the back button and keep looking Chiquita makes a very good point. Unless we have out own web sites, we on-line sellers are looking to HIRE a venue to work for US, not the other way around. Would any employer hire an employee who shows up at the interview dressed in a ski mask with no resume, no name, no address, no references, and no evidence of work history -- who explains away this presentation as "visioniary" and "revolutionary", and we, as the employer, should hire that person based purely on BLIND FAITH in his abilities? And then, when we do a background check, find a checkered past of lies and deceit? That's exactly what Ray expects prospective WP sellers to do! |

Edit: Truth, how about giving us a link so we can take a look. |

Alskling here is the link
http://wpssu.com/ I noticed he is still promoting WP store sellers but most of the words about wagglepop being so great have been changed. I am sure there will be some more changes at that site in the future once he realizes there is life outside of WP. let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.."
