Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:Rat you crack me up. Glad I could give y'all a laugh. I must have stepped on somebody's toes at one of the forums I've been posting at. eBay just ended one of my auctions for keyword spamming and we all know they don't end listing unless they've been reported. This was the title: DRIFTWOOD LONG LOOP ROOT ARCH FISH AQUARIUM DRIFT WOOD They said the keyword spamming was the words Fish Aquarium. : I've been using the same titles for over a year and I don't think it was one of my competitors. We're all a friendly bunch that get along pretty good. How can you sell driftwood for aquariums without saying Aquarium Driftwood?!?! Oh I know...on my own website! :twistedevil: It wouldn't tick me off so bad except there are currently 12 auctions running that blatantly either link to a WP store or in the text tell people to visit their WP store. Those auctions are still running strong. Okay...rant over. Back to discussing Sex and Karma.
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Rat, my rodent friend,
Hoedeeey Doe and backtrack for a moment. Other auctions? Violations? WP spamming? Talk to me via PM. Seriously - contact me. And thank you for the rant. I love your rodenting reporter coverage.

River it sure sounds like somebody turned you in. Keyword spamming for an item that you use in a fish aquarium? Nonsense.
Like you said just go on ebay and type in wagglepop in search, check the search descriptions box and bam there are ads which have wagglepop.com in the description, and on and on. Now back to sexy karma. |

YOHB:
I will always love you, babe. Don't feel bad. I haven't gotten one iota of karma in I don't know how long. Don't know what you're supposed to do with it anyway. My take on Brian: Mr. BuyIt has tons more AMBITION and ABILITY than Boinktard Ray. He has amassed a steadfast following and has proved he's more than just talk. Frankly, I think Ray's male member is feeling a bit threatened. If Brian were to take his entourage and either set up a cooperative of independent sellers or start his own auction site, Ray would be in heap big wombat poo poo. The heavier-than-normal bombardment by CC of the WP forums with "pep talks," reitteration of "proposed plans" and features to come, and all the rah-rah from CC about how great '07 is going to be and how wonderful it is to be a part of Ray's self-glorification endeavor all appears to be a bit of an act of desperation. Most eBay sellers took the fee hike in stride, and the mass exodus Ray was counting on to replenish his coffers has not come to pass, nor does it appear it will. Furthermore, don't see too many sellers claiming many sales, either, just a bunch of Poppers "hanging in there" waiting and hoping that after this feature is actualized or that plan is implemented things will get better. And yes, Bud and the Petals, seem to have gone AWOL from PSU. Once I started posting quotes from Ray, they packed up their thorns and went elsewhere. Pretty hard to defend such rantings coming from a leader who is obviously unstable and definitely not representative of someone capable of running a legitimate, multi-national business concern. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Like Chiquita says, Poppers have been spamming and linking through eBay forever (since June, at least, when I first noticed it). They even brag about it on the WP boards. Mostly the sports cards and kids clothing sellers (we all know who they are). The Kitchen guy really made an issue of it and blabbed about it everywhere, and that he didn't care if he got caught, etc.
Sometimes they get reported, but they just redo the listing and stuff the links back in. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
My karma has been petrified for a while now, but that's okay because I don't know what it is or how to use it either.
I know someone (who shall remain nameless) who goes in all the time and types in the word wagglepop under buy and reports every single one of them. I also know that I see many current and former WP'ers listing tons of stuff elsewhere. Most of them have quit posting on the boards at WP. Maybe the tide is turning for many of the decent, respectable sellers at WP. Perhaps there will be a place out there where they can share their wares, their wisdom and their experiences like we have here. I, for one, am learning tons of great information in this place where we can all be free to ask, answer, rant and rave.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Considering it has been about 6 mos since the fee hike, many people are reevaluating their st. elsewhere choices. I have seen some of the WP sellers setting up in other places too. It also appears people are slowly delisting items, and leaving WP without a word. The relocation of goodbye posts to the netherworld was the catalyst that silenced those leaving WP.
Where I have seen tremendous growth and buzz recently is for ecrater. That is going to be interesting to follow. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Been really busy with icky real life stuff lately, not much time to read or post.
BUT.... after seeing karma mentioned a couple times, wanted to give a round to my TT friends. Now I know none of you care if you get it or not ~ I couldn't care less either ~ but this really is a great group of helpful, friendly people and y'all deserve some good karma. Hopefully I'll be around a bit more in the coming week or so. G-Nite!
