Sweet, if it is as cold your way as it is here in Ontario you wouldn't have to worry about any wrinkles. They'd be buried under the massive goose bumps you'd be sporting!

This is far from a "new concept" on WP therefore I find KaRay's praise quite nauseating. 

Back in May (I think) WakeMeUp put a lot of effort into creating and progressively updating a friends page for fellow sellers. When she closed shop on WP no one picked up the slack and perpetuated the work. Today a number of sellers still have this custom page in their stores. A recent scan of some of these reveal many dead links to stores that are closed and long gone. I've found Eclectic, Style By Design, Fabulous for Less, Nancy's Stuff and other familiar names. I even found mine on a few pages and I've been gone since September.

I don't blame someone for trying to bring back the practice. There is truth in the saying 'strength in numbers'. Trouble is, the numbers keep changing rapidly.

True - I don't so much find fault with poppers for starting stuff like this - as I said, anything to get their names out there, since WP is doing nothing to help - but "Karen" praising this as the best method, advanced marketing, and encouraging it is just not right.

And to that I agree 100% which is why I commented it was in bad taste. Those that responded on the thread were for the most part included on Wake's friends page so I hope they weren't fooled by KaRay's drivel.

I find it really sad that Raybil's lack of business sense has hurt so many people.

We can all remember posts back in July and August where members asked about advertising, where WP is located, who owned WP, a phone number where they could call if the site was down or they had a question.  Besides other poppers attacking and saying the question didn't need to be asked and Karen giving answers that made no sense whatsoever it left a bad taste in the mouths of those that wanted to know.

To see that Raybil waited until sooooo many great sellers had left to even begin to post information, think about advertising and reveal his name is just ludicris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is not someone who wants to build a business but wants to mess with people's minds and take their money.

So on that note:
I have nothing for sale, I am not advertising, I will not give you my name, address or phone number 
Please send me money for I am the greatest and have the most awesome product that you will ever want!!

WP is  It should be bottled and sold to bulimic fashion models and Hollywood celebs. A great addition to the WaggleStuff campaign. Hey everybody, come get your WagglePuke. Not sold in stores or on QVC.

I can see why Karen was so "gung-ho". Anything that shifts the marketing responsibility away from WP and onto already overworked sellers is a grand idea.

Can't wait for the karma gremlins to see this post.

Why does ~edit~ still have a store on Ebay?

I copied the whole thing onto a Word document and will bring it here when I edit the names of the innocent.  It is quite long, so I will also try to edit blank spaces.

At the time, I was deleting my listings.  My store closed a few days later.  My PayPal acct shows my bill from WP on 10/10.

I have done some independent research while developing some new market strategies. I have to take my hat off to Ray Romeo, CEO of Wagglepop. He is one smooth salesman.
1. While we pay our fees and promote this site, his platinum power-selling store remains open on the big E. Granted, there are no items in it, but someone is still paying for it.
2. There are no advertising dollars available for us, we need to self-promote, but if you do various searches about various ecommerce sites, they all say the advertising money should already be in place unless you are a FREE site.
I don't care about the number of sales, but I can see that if someone as stupid on the computer can get this information, anyone can.

Shame on you!

1. He may be paying for the store out of his personal income not tied to Wagglepop. If he wants to use his personal income to pay for a empty store, its his right to do so.
2. You have to self promote no matter what site your on. Even on the big E, your store items are invisible to most people and its up to you to promote your store through advertising and listing core auctions.
