The 'Karma Grelims' have also been reporting eBay violations.
I had put Google Checkout on my custom payment page in my store before eBay outlawed it and had completely forgotten about it being there.  My Payment page was removed this morning...after being there for well over 8 months.  What a coincidence.  :

It only took me about 30 secs to upload a corrected page though.  So... :imptongue:

And they weren't small stores that closed. Not the largest but quite a few hundred items in each.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Karma Gremlins for increasing our page views with each negative karma point you give.  You did notice that the page refreshes when you give karma, didn't you? Since the ads on our pages the past few months have been 50% CPC (cost per click)/50% CPM (cost per 1000 impressions) those extra page impressions add up $$$ quickly. So, thank you again Gremlins.

I wasn't done laughing and I might be back later to laugh some more about the 73.2% claim (it ranks right up there with Online Auction advertising that they have 4.7 million items).

Store Number February, 2007: 367
Average loss of stores per month: 143
Length of time to reduce store count to zero, based on these figures: approx. 2-1/2 months, assuming present collection of sellers figure out how to close a store

WaggleSpin: loss of nearly 2/3 of stores = "dynamic" growth = weeding out those who do not understand the meaning of "trust-based" community.

Alskling great post but I think I just figured out the game we are playing here.

Ray is this it? That would mean that TT posters are the jury. Oh how nice I love this game. Alskling we are jury buddies! Ray is the evil one and the karma gremlins are in his alliance/cult.

You see we are in the final days of this game. Ray is starting to answer to the jury, he looks like a complete idiot but we knew that already.

The store count is now down to 367, yet the listing count on the home page remains the same. It's not possible to have stores close, but the listing count remain the same. It's been the same for quite some time. Stores close, listing number stays the same. Sellers list more items, listing number stays the same. So we are to believe that the number of listings lost by store closures is made up by sellers listing the EXACT number of listings lost by store closure?  I think not. Falsifying numbers by the owner is a no-no.
