Another dynamic innovation that has failed to get off the ground is the "We The People" thing. Of course, it will probably lift off like a rocket later tonight or tomorrow since I put it into words.

COS comes as no big surprise. The faithful have dug in their heels and the true online sellers are beginning to see the light. I expected this to happen shortly after WPSSU changed formats and the Mini Mall closed.

Well, Ray, you've run off all but a few of your disciples. Are you planning to sperminate their offspring to keep WP alive for another generation to laugh at?

We're preparing a page that will help explain the difference between sell-thru and profit, relative to insertion and selling fees, since the business model when selling on Wagglepop is so different than what most people are used to.

Generally, the concept of "sell-thru" is important only to relative insertion and selling cost, and with the blanket $9.95 SmartSell Pro solution, it's not the most important factor, by any means, in preparing a business model when setting up to sell on Wagglepop.

Basically, the $9.95 simply becomes a fixed expense, and can be added to product costs as a known entity (plus any applicable FVF's).

On sites where each any every insertion come with a cost (as on eBay), the sell-thru rate is an important consideration when creating a pricing scale, so that the market price essentially "underwrites" the insertion costs, leading to higher prices for consumers.

Our SmartSell Pro solution makes insertion fees an incredibly low, fixed, and manageable cost, and generally does not need to be passed on to the consumer except in almost miniscule amounts. This includes the lower FVF's as well.

All of this leads to better prices for consumers, and more profit for sellers

We of course respect your decision to leave us as a member, but I'd like to add that I think your interpretation of the information within Wagglepop Today is slightly flawed.

Simply stated, the answer is not money, or do we mean to imply that it is, as related to traffic and buyers.

Yahoo Auctions and Overstock Auctions, as examples, have thrown millions of dollars at the issue and come up virtually empty.

"Advertising" is a misnomer. The real issue is market share.

We have plans to address market share that will not take a single penny of invested money. Remember, we're not looking to "reinvent the wheel", but we are looking to develop a marketplace where 1.5% (just 1.5%!) of the volume of eBay buys and sells on Wagglepop.

But certain things need to be in place before we do that, and one of them certainly is to be sure we are at the very least covering monthly operating costs.

That's less a "financial constraint" as you've phrased it, and more just common business sense that all business owners must deal with.

We've already invested tens of thousands of dollars into hardware infrastructure and software customization, and continue to incur related and staff expenses monthly.

As mentioned, even if we were to have vast capital resources at our disposal, we're quite sure it's not the answer.

Soon enough, after a few more feature integrations and site performance reviews, we'll begin the implementations that will start to build both interest and traffic in Wagglepop, as we move from the launch platform to a marketing platform.

An online alternative is not an instant solution, like a magic box that, when opened, has a beautiful house pop out of it with a swimming pool and a barbeque.

In fact, it's quite the opposite. It's got to be built just like any house, with hard work, sweat, and one brick at a time.

We're working to build something that we can all be proud of, that will stand the test of time
