We of course respect your decision to leave us as a member, but I'd like to add that I think your interpretation of the information within Wagglepop Today is slightly flawed.

Simply stated, the answer is not money, or do we mean to imply that it is, as related to traffic and buyers.

Yahoo Auctions and Overstock Auctions, as examples, have thrown millions of dollars at the issue and come up virtually empty.

"Advertising" is a misnomer. The real issue is market share.

We have plans to address market share that will not take a single penny of invested money. Remember, we're not looking to "reinvent the wheel", but we are looking to develop a marketplace where 1.5% (just 1.5%!) of the volume of eBay buys and sells on Wagglepop.

But certain things need to be in place before we do that, and one of them certainly is to be sure we are at the very least covering monthly operating costs.

That's less a "financial constraint" as you've phrased it, and more just common business sense that all business owners must deal with.

We've already invested tens of thousands of dollars into hardware infrastructure and software customization, and continue to incur related and staff expenses monthly.

As mentioned, even if we were to have vast capital resources at our disposal, we're quite sure it's not the answer.

Soon enough, after a few more feature integrations and site performance reviews, we'll begin the implementations that will start to build both interest and traffic in Wagglepop, as we move from the launch platform to a marketing platform.

An online alternative is not an instant solution, like a magic box that, when opened, has a beautiful house pop out of it with a swimming pool and a barbeque.

In fact, it's quite the opposite. It's got to be built just like any house, with hard work, sweat, and one brick at a time.

This post absolutely proves to me that Ray is posting under the alias of Karen. Throughout WP1 Ray was infamous for posting in this style and putting an exclamation mark in parentheses for emphasis (!).

Here's an example taken from the front page of WP just prior to opening the first time:

I can't readily think of another person I've run across who does this...at least not on a regular basis.
