This one is for Ray.
A site that receives tons of free press coverage because it actually is "revolutionary" (i.e. it isn't a friggin' eBay clone). http://community.tuliptools.com/index.ph...l#msg43125
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |

It rocks, and I wish I had the kind of business that would work there. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Hi guys... just checking in... I'm still sick and coughing up a lung but wanted to chime in on the etsy posts...
I love that site and am so glad that I heard about it and then took the time to research it. I opened my store there on 2/3 and have gotten involved in the community which is so eclectic and welcoming. Very artsy people who's purpose is "make it now... sell it later" as opposed to "sell, sell, sell!!" LOL Good business people too... these are sellers that make their items, usually just ooak so when you buy it, it's something special. I've bought two items and am happy with the CS that the sellers provided! It's a fun site! The flash pages are fun too, like the time machine page and the chat rooms. I took some time this morning to read up on what I missed since I got sick... geez... lots to read about!! I'll post some comments when I feel better. For now, I'm just gonna go back to bed! |

Alskling,
Quote:When the site crashes, and it will, like any paranoid psycho, Ray will blame everybody and everything for it: trolls, infiltrators, fake buyers, nasty sellers and their "lack of faith", crappy inventory, inept marketing skills, inability to take full advantage of all WP has to offer" or whatever wombat poo poo he can come up with; Brian, global warming, war in Bosnia, sunamis, earthquakes, meteor strikes, etc. But the only one to blame is himself. EXACTLY!! I want 1 2, Thanks for the karma pumping. Platzki, Get well soon we need new commercials!!! let the truth be told u1it4less - "it's all in the name.." Quote:WP did NOT just arbitrarily deem you a bad boy. WP made the right move by removing the wpssu thread from the Web Promotion board because: I have been going through yesterday's post. The bolding is mine. It was by user391. Could someone please explain what throwing Ray under the bus means? Is it a literal statement or some kind of local slang that I have never heard before?

Definition of "Throwing one under the bus" Quote:to sacrifice some other person, usually one who is undeserving or at least vulnerable, to make personal gain.[/quote] If that be the definition, then I'd say most of the X-Poppers here have tread marks on their knickers. |
