No, I won't ask your age. There is one TTer here who knows mine. Has anyone here noticed the disproportionate number of Aquarians on this thread? V-e-r-y i-n-t-e-r-e-s-t-i-n-k! Don't forget, you're only as old as you feel. So, if you're ever in doubt about you age, go feel yourself. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET! |

KaRay is recycling the sermons. Didn't we read one previously that was very similar to this one? Posted when someone in the past Whoo Hooed about a sale?
Quote:wagglepopCC1 14 Feb 2007 21:57 The difference this time is that no one, other than the OP has taken the time to post a follow-up. Could they be getting just a bit impatient with the same old pep talks? and to reword one of the sentences: Dissatisfied customers are also like "walking billboards" for WP, the WP Stores, and the items and products, and will oftentimes refer to WP with their friends and family as a waste of time, giving you less opportunity to bring them into your circle of satisfied buyers and referrers.
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.

[/quote] Karen has a big sermon recycling Poop bin where she plugs in "pep talk", "eBay speak", "atta boy", etc. and out pops the sermon. I remember her doing this when I was a Popper and commented on it back then. She gave me the same sermon, nearly word for word, on two entirely different threads on two different days. It was such a joke. The truly ridiculous part about this compulsion of hers, is that any seller on a REAL venue would never get this wombat poo poo from staff -- frankly, I couldn't give a rat's ass if Meg were to pat me on the back and send me a gold-engraved smiley face with an "IT" star for a job well done, like a kindergardener who just went to the potty all by his little grown-up self. All I care about is what my CUSTOMERS THINK OF ME. Want a testimonial? OK, I'm not a horn-tooter, but it's the totally unsolicited comments like the one that popped up in my email inbox when I turned on the computer this morning that I find much more gratifying that all the warm fuzzies Meg, or Bill, or Karen, or boinktard Ray or any other dopey staff person could ever bestow: "Dear Lindy , my best girl friend was here today and was smitten with the thing I have gotten from you . She referred to you as my Personal Shopper. I explained to her that you were always honest with me about the condtion of an item.I wanted you to know how pleased and happy I've been with you and your service.Buying on Ebay is a crap shoot ,but not with you I thank you. personally I am a stroke survivor and It is no fun walking in the malls, though we have many here in B'ham. You have been a God sent. I still ;like to look like something out of vogue and you have made that partly possible. I'm tall, thin ,and as a younger person did some modeling. You have helped me feel better and more beautiful than you know, considering my disability. I siill wear heels ,if only for a little while.I know you are in business to makea profit but your kindness and help has been a real profit to me. Again thank you. My girlfriend sugeested that the next time we were in Atlanta we would stop by your store. If that happens to be the case I will let you know. I would love to meet you. Again thanks Lindy LOTS OF LOVE" And Karen, here's my pat on the back side for you. |

A-
If I got an email like that I'd be sobbing so hard, they'd have to scrape me off the floor. As far as the replies from Ka/Ray...... |
