SCOOP Congrats, you are free!! [/quote] Sherrand thanks yes I'm free!!!! It took me about a week longer than I had planned. As you and some of the others here probably know already my husband had a heart attack last week. I had to put things on hold for a few days. He is home now and feeling better. He has to go back in on Fri. to have another stent put in. This is for all the lurkers who are still on WP. No one can say that I did not give WP a fair shot. I was there from the beginning(since last May) and was one of the biggest supporters. In the beginning when all this talk of people being there for the sole purpose of causing trouble started. I gave WP the benifit of doubt as I did not know the sellers too well who made claims of unprofessional business practices against WP. But as time went on and I saw these things happening to more and more sellers and ones who I knew had only the best intentions for WP I had to question this. Maybe these other sellers in the beginning were right. Also the more I read over here and then checked these things myself like the listing counts and store numbers. Things just did not add up over on WP there is no denying some of the facts posted here. WP has made a mess of it's community by implementing it's overbearing board policy. Deleting post which in my opinion do not deserve to be deleted. Sellers you have no voice at WP and I predict that even when they implement the "we the people program" you still will have no voice. I don't think it should even be called that because it will not be anything like what that pharse implys. They try to hide issues with the site instead of admitting to them and informing the sellers on how they can work around them or better yet fix them. No they just give some stupid explaination and then let the sellers think they are going crazy. Two examples of this are the html editor for custom pages changing the links and the html editor not changing the pictures when sellers try to revise the listing and put a new picture in. They don't want anyone to post an issue with the site on the board. Any good business would want to be made aware of any issues so they can be addressed and they would want their customers to be aware. WP wants to hide them why? I think most sellers would have to admit that the grand opening was horrible. The worse thing about it was the build up to it that they did. I was not expecting too much because I had serious concerns already by this point and knew I was leaving. But alot of those sellers were they got so excited and I really felt for them on grand opening day and nothing happened. While I do hope for the best for all the sellers still there I have to say to me the picture looks very bleak. Take the advise that others here have given you. If you are staying back up your listings. Also it would not hurt to check out other alternatives there are other places out there besides WP and some are even free to try. Good luck to all of you. I just want to ad that while at WP I did make some good friends and learned alot from some very helpful sellers so there was some good that came from my experience there. |

Thank You everybody for your support.
Scoop, every since you first came to TT I have had respect for you. I congratulate you for your courage. I also believe that what you posted, and what so many other wonderful former sellers on WP have shared will not go unnoticed. Whenever you speak from the heart, it resonates with others. Good luck to you with all your new business venues. Moon I am in love love love with your dolphin mould. Maybe you can teach me how to be crafty. I suck. I do however write a pretty good Raybil tune every now and again. |
